I hated her character for what she did to Korn in "The Gifted" but she's so adorable!!! Anyways, she's good at what she does, hope she gets lead roles!
I watched only the story with Huang Cancan... she was borderline toxic and manipulative who never really apologized but still made a good couple. Sadly no firm, happy ending.
This was an intense drama and I got really invested in it by the second or third episode. Fuka Koshiba did an amazing job with such a serious role, she needs more opportunities like this in the future. This was a well made disaster story with a good message, 8.5/10 from me.
I am honestly loving this drama so far. I usually don't like Japanese comedy dramas because they usually consist of cringe and overacting but there's none of that here. The acting is great and watching Mio's character development from a timid young girl to a strong, mature woman is so satisfying. Fuka Koshiba is doing an amazing job in this role, as usual.
I'm a big Douglas Adams fan and I loved the Hitchhiker's Guide novels as well the BBC America show "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency" (which is a masterpiece of a TV show BTW); this drama approaches that level of bizarre, surreal humour, I'm either laughing or just smiling through most of the episodes.
For a comedy drama, the show is also really emotional and deep, talking about the challenges that women face and the issues of modern society. I'm also learning quite a bit about Japanese mythology, which is another plus. I definitely recommend this to everyone who wants a comedy show that also has depth. 9.0/10.
I first saw her in Massage Tantei Joe and even though she had a supporting role, she definitely caught my eye because of the enthusiasm and energy she brought to the character. But I'm watching Youkai Sharehouse and Parallel Tokyo right now and honestly she's blown me away in both dramas. She is an amazing actress, able to portray a comedic role just as ably as serious ones. I can't wait to see where she goes in the future.
