i dropped the untamed, watched the wolf, the oath something, joy of life so no, im not asking why people like him from 1 of his drama. I just dont understand why people like him so much after i watched all of the movies i listed above. I felt like he was popular after untamed so after movies he is in after, people are still rooting for him. I did went to untamed page and been asking the same questions. when does the untamed get better? I'm not sure why you're being defensive. Im asking because im curious to know what people think. I don't have anything against xiao zhan. I don't know him personally, so why would I have anything against him? I just don't see why he's special. Maybe I don't know much about him so I only judge him base on his acting. By no means I'm saying he's a bad actor, I'm just not impressed so it surprised me he has so many fan.
I love Mark Chao after ten miles of blossoms, but to me he is still an actor. I like that he is kind and nice to his wife, but i don't know him personally other than he does poems and is a good actor. I also watched his black and white and i didn't like him in that movie. My point is, actors are actors, If they act well, i watch them, if they're not great, i won't. I'm not a fan of someone and defend them to all means.
I also like Zhang Ruo Yun as well and think he did amazing in Joy of Life. As for Hu Ge, he is indeed very handsome, but don't like his acting. He had never touched my heart in any of his movies, but then again, i haven't watch all of his movies.

In term of acting, I love Mark Chao the most, but now beginning to like Cheng Yi since his eyes can make me feel so sad. I think Cheng Yi is more handsome. Allen Ren has a cute smile. I don't know about Allen Ren personally other than he has a wife and he wont kiss an actress more than once in a movie.
I watch movies and follow actor and actresses for their acting abilities, but I'm not a "fan" of anyone that goes to the end of the earth and love an actor/actresses and go crazy protecting them. It's silly to me. Yeah he's popular and can be humble, but there are many people in the world who are rich and humble or risk their lives to save others, but they're not praised. Maybe Xiao Zhan is a very nice person who happens to be an actor, but i just find it silly how people praised him so much and unconditionally protect him. That's my opinion. I dont know why the untamed was popular. I drop it so many times. Is it popular for the BL? I find word of honor more interesting and entertaining.
Can someone explain to me why this actor is so popular? His acting is okay. He acts well, but not as heart moving as other actors I’ve seen. i hate special editions of anything. im not sure why they need a special edition for a happy ending. Felt it the special edition didn't except why they're not dead. Are they alive as long as the lotus lantern are burning?

Love and redemption is has ML same as this movie so it would be a nice movie to watch if you're into Cheng Yi.
Eternal Love was the movie that hooked me into Chinese movies. It is long however. 3 different arc. FL is badass.
Ashes of Love is good, but i like it the least in the 3 so if you have time, watch this.
