yeah, I love this drama, perhaps nirvana in fire or legend of yanxi palace can be a good watch. They kinda different…
I love Legend of Yanxi Palace. Nirvana in Fire I have previously been unable to get through the first 5 episodes. I think I just didn't like how sickly the ML was. It didn't bode well for his survival at the end of the series.
lol, I think this is the first show that I have seen that has actually improved ratings after the reworking of…
This actually not that bad, ML's acting is the weakest part of the drama even that is not the worst I have ever seen. The plot is quite interesting and the FL is simply adorable.
Am going to miss this drama and the roller coaster ride of emotions it took me on.
Its probably the first time I have ever hated a character so much that I stopped watching twisted fate of love as soon as Zhe Lie face came on screen in ep 3. I can usually separate the character from the actor but this time I couldn't bring myself to do it.
lol, I think this is the first show that I have seen that has actually improved ratings after the reworking of the MDL algorithm. I guess it had more haters than lovers.
Seriously, who introduces drama in the second to last episode? Let's hope it like the going to Africa episode where it was resolved happily in the same episode
ikKKRRR IT IS SOO WELL WRITTEN for me i rly love the ML because he’s got that playful but smart and arrogant…
Its got to be the emperor for me, he is the troll in chief. He is mostly shabbily dressed but dude has his finger on pretty much everything that happens not just in his country but in the next one too.
Hi..do the main couple breakup in this drama or they have a strong relationship ??
They have one of the most stable functional healthy relationships reflected in dramaland. It takes them a while together but once they do they are solid as a rock all the way through and so adorable when they are together.
in the og novel did Xiao YinHua like TengShe...? then why did they make her like SiFeng..???
Wait, what. Ahh, that's a terrible decision then. It was such an unnecessary plot line almost like the writer's heart wasn't in it to make it convincing
On rewatching this I realised that the reason I like the show so much is because its so very well written with really intelligent characters. I can't decide which character is my favorite
As a little side note to anyone who thinks that XJ is dumb.
She was born with her senses muted. Imagine what you would be like if when you eat food you couldn't taste the flavor, or while you can hear but not appreciate an awesome singing voice/song and so on and so forth.
She has learnt how to fake those expected reactions so that she can get by in society (mostly by copying LL's emotions) but she still at her core just doesn't care about anything except maybe her family so she has no motivation to do anything because she lives in a dull world and so she would rather sleep.
She doesn't develop the desire to cultivate and practice because she has never felt the need for that. It wasn't until she finds herself powerless against a foe that almost wipes out her friends and sister that she chooses to makes the effort to learn how to defend herself and her friends and family.
She doesn't understand the nuances of social interactions and as such she is subject to manipulation conversely she also doesn't have the prejudices that LL and MY have about sects (that all demons are bad mentality).
She is pure, like a baby and she learns and adapts very fast too. I don't know about you about you but I wouldn't call that dumb, she may be slow about emotions when she first encounters them but she not stupid or dumb for that matter.
Anyway, don't mind me. I just clicked on the home page of MDL and someone had rated this show as a 4 because XJ is "dumb" so I just couldn't let it pass
Am so happy with how the difficult emotional discussions are actually done and not glossed over in this show. Its not that is all wrapped up with a bow in the last few episodes as you see in most shows but a more realistic progression. Well done to the screen writer for such an awesome character driven drama.

Only one wish for the next season, an OST that's suited to this kind of show.
Let's hope it like the going to Africa episode where it was resolved happily in the same episode
It gets worse before it gets better.
