"Botox is like a disability for actors"

Not a big C- drama fan but i did start a few of these but failed to make much headway with them.
I enjoyed a splendid match even though it was cheesy (or because?) it fell to bits at the end and became unwatchable to me.
I also managed a fair chunk of Pursuit of Jade before losing interest it was just all tooo.... made up?.
I think I don't get a lot of the 'cultural short cuts' used so it doesn't always make sense to me. In Pursuit of Jade for example I just didn't get her as this powerful warrior - I understand it is 'Martial Arts' so she can do these things with her inner power but...

I also find many of the actors are a bit too smoothed out and beautiful so I don't get the emotional link to them I require - Ren Min's eyebrow took the acting crown ...
There are a couple of actors than I can't watch in any story even though I keep trying, in C-drama's Esther Yu takes the lead and I barely managed the Viki clip for RTS, as soon as she does the shoulders back head down, pout and look up through your eyelashes bit I'm out.

Thanks for all the suggestions though I'll try as many as I can - I don't fall often but when I do I fall hard.

Well didn't expect it to grab me but it did. I nearly had a spasm at KHJ's younger self - another series with a lead whose face can't emote Noooooo! but fortunately it was just processing.

I don't have the ability to treat live action as a cartoon/comic/webtoon/anime so not for me.

Dude you can't go into this with any sort of feel for 'realism' it is Tom and Jerry with guns!

Not for me I'm afraid for a whole plethora of minor reasons rather than anything major.
Ha Young didn't do it for me, I found her character grating, JHI was miscast? misdirected? not arsed?
Rest of it was a bit written by an AI fed the last 5 years of dramas, loads of familiar ingredients in odd amounts and mixes.
Shame as they had loads of good actors in there.

I loved My Mister, struggled with MLN and thought this was trash.

Yeah, I was disappointed too, proper laughed at WFs. Smoothed out = had so much botox(?) that she sort of looks like herself but not quite, like she reminds you of other actresses with Instaface, but there are still flashes of herself in there - mainly her eyes.
I watched a couple of shows the other day with the same actress in back to back, can't remember her name off hand. But there was ten years between shows but she was all smoothed out in the new one and I had to dropped it in the end as it was too weird. Like pod person had replaced her.

Not feeling it - spent half my time watching PEB's smoothed out face rather than the plot. Rest of it was largely flat with a couple of fun moments it might pick up pace but I'm not sure I'll be around to see it. Shame as I had some genuine belly laughs at the Wonderfools and hoped for a similar feel here.

I got within a couple of episodes of finishing but it had just got too daft by then. Still, over all, I enjoyed it.

I was impressed by how much the little muscle above Ren Min's left eye carried her emotions.
I agree very imperfect show but somehow captivating.
