Here is what I think the more gigs you play the more experience and more you learn. From my point of you Eiji didn't get to do work with people from who he would have learned so much and gained experineced nor did he get a role that would have changed him as actors and ofc his popularity until CM. But now that he is popular this will help him to get better roles and improve his acting even more. With Machida you get the feel he is more experinced and more knowledgeable and thats because he is. As Eiji started lated and has only started taking acting class this year I am sure soon he will become a even more of a good actor and get many opportunities.

I totally agree but the thing is Kurodachi's storyline is beautifully fleshed out like you can feel how much care went into that plotline. If the director did the same thing with Tsuge and his storyline probably people wouldn't dislike him that much. But after the release of Episode 8 I see some people are starting to like him so that's a good thing. Maybe by the end of this season people who are still apprehensive about him now will love him.
