Feng Sui Ge's two siblings are interesting characters. Their character arcs and the expected images in my mind changed as the story progressed.
I have felt sympathy for all the "villains" in this drama at least once, but not even once for the character Xiyang, who is supposed to be a "victim". She is the most annoying character I have ever seen. I'm sorry! She is a princess, had a father who loved her and a brother who would risk his life for her, but she was dying over and even disrespected herself for a man who doesn't even respect her. She even let all the people who loved her down for that man. Her acting self-righteous and wanting revenge when she got to know of Sui Ge's death was so hard for me to see because that woman literally kept protecting a man who wanted her brother to die, and now, because he rejected her all the time, she's like, "I want revenge". It made me wonder how she would've reacted to her brother's death if Xia Jingshi had loved her instead. Was her revenge really for her brother? No matter what she faced in this drama, she brought them all upon herself. I literally have no sympathy left towards her character.
But the Second Prince, Cheng Yang's character, really surprised me because he didn't blindly support his mother and grandfather and could distinguish right from wrong. He absolutely started as the cute younger brother one would love to have, but I thought there might be a change in his ambitions when he got to know his mother's plan. He absolutely loved his mother, but he knew what she was doing was wrong, and unlike Murong Yao's father, he managed to help Sui Ge while protecting his mother from the self-destructive cycle she was building for herself. I honestly believe he would've been a great emperor under Sui Ge's guidance instead of that woman in the end, but I understand Sui Ge's perspective as well. I guess it is a happy ending for Cheng Yang because he never wanted to be the emperor to begin with.
Edit: Rewatching it now, I came to appreciate Cheng Yang more and realise that people around Xiyang protected her too well and made her delusional enough to think she can do as she wishes or achieve anything she wants. I do have a little bit of sympathy left for her at the end, after all.
P.S. Jinxiu Emperor JingYan is unexpectedly funny! He was also kind of a reality check for Xiyang. He didn't know how to love or respect her, but everyone, including Xiyang herself, could sense his feelings for her.
I tried starting Fated Hearts because I love Chen Zheyuan. But by episode 3 they had this stupid woman holding…
Yi Xiao could threaten and kidnap Sui Ge because he allowed it. He wanted her to vent her anger and feel equal to him so she could agree to working with him. If he had wanted to fight her, it would've been very easy because she was hurt (if she was perfectly fine, it would've been hard to say who would've won), but he decided to go along with what she was doing as a way to show his sincerity for his proposal of co-operation.
Just watched her performance as He Zhi. She is a brilliant actress! The way she expresses every emotion the character felt, it is impossible to not cry watching it. This actress has great potential. I love her so much!
The facts about Anti Social Personality Disorder are really insightful and interesting. Hats off for your research. Would love to read more articles from you.
Exactly my thoughts! They're not investigating things anymore, just trying to prove their own theories right by…
If you've seen the recent episodes, I think the guy who has been revealed is also kinda suitable for the Eraser, like many things actually made sense. He was the least suspicious guy for me, lmao!
I really hope the chief would be ok! WTF was that!!! I thought he was a little suspicious, but didn't really expect this coming!!! Should I wait for another week!!!???
Also to follow on, now that I've thought about it and read the theories. There isn't a possibility that DB could…
Do you mean, he must have done something to her or she felt wronged by him? But, isn't it connected to his mothers death too? It may also be the case that, she read his memories and using his mother's death as a reason to hide who she is! This drama is really unpredictable!!!
I started this one but couldn't continue, so please help me here. Does it have a little bit of romance later (I…
He is Psychometric is a legend!!! He kinda starts getting involved in cases, because of her, so there's romance. Here, both of them are not connected at all(as in their past). So there is no romance, actually, no time for romance in this. They may show the basic romance I guess. But I'm not really unsatisfied with it, since the story is strong. Only 4 ep are left!!!! This is completely unpredictable!!!

I think you may be right! She must have altered the memories of the chief! But why would she hate him?? I thought she loved him too. We can't decide anything!Ahhhhh! this is crazy!!!
