Definitely I agree with you. Sleuth of the ming dynasty was wasted because of straightening the characters. Maybe because it was directed by Jackie Chan and he wanted straight stuffs. The character description of XL is so beautiful that he can pull off a lady's look. I think the actor will have to be very handsome, cute and beautiful at the same time that's why momentarily I thought Darren Chen would fit that role but what matters is we get the best of the best actor for that role.

Me too. I wish HOB to have just new casts; but so many people have been wanting SJY to take up the role of XL dats why I am rooting for his character as a female in this drama. I want to see if he can pull it off so that I can just root him for XL just like I want Darren Chen to play XL after he dressed like a woman in sleuth of the ming dynasty.

I think he will pull it out very well. He needs to dress as a lady so that I can root for him as Xie lian in Heaven official's blessing

Cheng yi is good but I don't think he gives out the Hua Cheng vibes. I watched Love and redemption after hearing he'll play Hua Cheng. His character in LAR is soo nice and I ended up being a fan but he doesn't feel like Hua cheng. Even with a mask on he still looks alittle bit old compared to Hua Cheng's character description.

In the novel his character is very intelligent and master of disguise and flirts alot. I like it

I just heard that Xiao Zhan will be back for season 2. I loved Joy of life but I even loved it more with Xiao Zhan despite playing a supporting but it was him who made me watch it and at the end of the day loved the whole script, actors and story. So I hope they bring him back
