Thanks for dropping that drama name "Sandglass" , The Lead actress who's recent drama i notice her fascinating…
Well, it's 8 years since I started, so I'm quite cool about the amount of work. But what I can say that is important: I didn't want to do that, as it was looking like the kind of big writing project you never finish. The first year was just to grab ideas, and I said to myself: I won't do it unless I get 3 huge and awesome ideas. Bad news: it happened. Then, it's quite cool, I was in a crazy project, but convinced by the power of ideas, in short: I had no choice but to make it until the end. This kind of crazyness. However, it was not the first story I write, but it changed everything about my way to envision writing. I never lived something so mad. But ok, now I'm cool, I know what means "open the mind door". I don't need to be deported in a psychatric hospital. LOL.

My username is just a way to say "hey, look at my profile", because I share the link to "W two worlds" season 2. A visual screenplay of 40 hours, telling what happens after the drama W. It's called "W four worlds" and it's even more crazy than season 1. I'm currently working on the pictures on the last 12 episodes, as I achieved the full rewriting. In case you liked (or even loved?) W, for sure, you will be mind-blow by this season 2. You can read on the main page of my blog (check the page below) the style of the story: I just tell what you can expect in this.

I loved her in Queen Seon Duk, it's half why I watched Sandglass. Other half is because it's the 4th biggest rating of korean TV history, and I was curious about top dramas of all time. It talks about serious historical events happening just few years before, and I could read: when Sandglass was airing, the streets were desert.
The actress is beautiful in this drama. It's also well directed, even with 4/3 format, and my reaction after watching was: why they didn't continue to make dramas with this kind of raw and powerful tonality? This drama is supposed to have invented the future format of kdramas, with a (short) 24 episodes story, but the lessons were lost. After that, it was rare to get a drama with such an intensity and a natural feeling, looking like older movies.
I don’t know if I’ll watch it all the way through. There were a few good funny scenes, but overall it’s uneven. Plenty of scenes sound fake, the guy is often passively forced, his role is poorly written. The main actress’s personality feels more like a dowager queen than a fatal, manipulative concubine. Too many useless encounters even though the plot doesn’t advance.
Main character is Jang Ok Jung. (just renamed "Kang")So, if you watch this drama, you'll know about her:https://mydramalist.com/5570-jang-ok-jungBut…
Yeah, it's a little situation we see in Queen In Hyun's man, with the actresses. The drama with Kim Tae Hee is an exception (from a wonderful novel), exploring that her situation was more related to a political context. So she's the heroine, begins as a nice lady, but turn to be ferocious later. Still more nuanced than other series and movies showing this famous historical figure as a "most beautiful femme fatale ever but highly ambitious and totally bad".
Is the modern-day shaman lady the same person with Joseon era shaman, who told her, she has to die in order to…
No, but I wonder if there will be a link. Sometimes, there are generation of shamans, transmitting their knowledge. So maybe the Joseon shaman is her ancestor.
In ep 1, when FL meets the modern shaman/fortune teller, the shaman actually mentioned the names of 3 older time-travel…
The confusing situation about acting is inspired by Queen In Hyun's man, sure. However this drama barely sticks to this genre as there are back and forth time travels (almost scifi genre), while the basic genre is only one travel. Also, as the fortune teller explains, there is a possession on top, refering about a drama like Mr Queen for example.
Are the Joseon's characters here all fictional? or are there any inspirations from real historical figures?
Main character is Jang Ok Jung. (just renamed "Kang") So, if you watch this drama, you'll know about her: https://mydramalist.com/5570-jang-ok-jung But most of other movies and adaptations of this famous character shows her as a villainess.
10/10 Definitely one of the BEST DramasThis is definitely one of the best dramas I've seen in a while, and I think…
Yep. This drama doesn't hit everyone, but when it hits, it hits hard! It's my fav, even if I watch lot of other excellent dramas. Maybe you want to rewatch it, or if you feel you'd like to read/watch a sequel of this, exactly in the same mind-blowing style, you can look at my blog for the season 2 : https://w-two-worlds-season-2.blogspot.com/ Then, write some comments on the blog, as I never know if anyone read-it. It's pure W style. But it's a visual screenplay, easy to get, not just text. I think people watching dramas would enjoy something more pleasant to read than a novel, it's why I created this format. ;-)
Can anyone recommend dramas similar to this , she fell first he fell harder. And don't recommend the known popular…
There aren't a lot, if we stick to the main thematic: hear inner feeling. It's done by the cells here, but you could try "I hear your voice". It's the closest about good feeling and hearing thoughts, as main protagonist is telepath. By the way, writers of the two dramas are in my top list of kdrama writers.
To be honest looking at it, the Webtoon seemed to rush her last relationship (he apparently appears at around…
Main reason is probably production decision to greenlight a final season. However, even I like a lot the drama, I can also feel the concept is a bit overdone now, and it's better it ends fast.
Girl why are you stalking this man on his date? I am so MAD RN
I find it strange we don't see the why and how, because it's a typical unconscious decision that would coming from cells working behind the stage. When she really want to buy the strawberry cake: the hidden reason is because it's the same street of Soon-Rok blind-date.
Does anyone know if they've mentioned of Shin's ever dated or had a gf? He's absolutely clueless about the most…
There is no flashback scenes about that, but as he doesn't lie a lot and said he had blind dates, and he has an expert surgeon love cell, we can suppose this: probably he had girlfriends but the experience was quickly painful and giving him this feeling of loosing energy (ahh, lot of drama for nothing), so his love cell became expert at cutting it fast and clean.
I so get the point of this season, It's about drawing the line between work and personal life. That's why there's…
I'm quite sure it ends well, not because of the manhwa source, but just looking at details: they have lot of common ground. Can be the maltais puppy, or just he's the best at reading what she writes and understanding deep. Also, it's the last season, and I expect a happy ending to the whole series.
Okay, now that her prime cell might change, what’s going to happen to her career? She was able to write well…
But over time, writer cell can't write too. She needs to live to write. It's something explainable, as we write about emotions, and when I see comments on forums of young people wanting to write but are doubting and find nothing worth to tell, I just answer: just live first. I see that in this way: after a long time that the writer cell was the prime one, her inspiration declined, as she already used everything she had to tell. She has to live now, to being able to write again.
Can I watch it without having seen the other seasons first?
I watched previous seasons but forgot a bit last part of season 2. Then, when watching s3, I found that it was watchable and could understand. There it's why first part of episode 1 is a bit slow: It spent time to remind us some situations and characters.
That's said, it's still better to watch other seasons before, so you get a progressive discovery of the different cells, and I don't see lot of difference of quality.
I have to admit and praised the director for creating 100% authentic adaptation of any webtoon there is. YMC is…
I was curious and read first chapters of the manhwa to compare. You are right, I find it's a good adaptation too: it resumes a bit some points. And also, it takes freedom to make it better, for example the hotel glass-bathroom. This scene doesn't really exist in the manhwa (just few dialog about it) but in season 1, the drama made it a whole situation and one of the best comedy of the drama.
I also did few AI videos (just for trying) and got a better version of the trailer, as I could do the dialog lines better than in the photo version:
