Somewhat satisfied that Wu Lian got his just deserved. Though, even with Wu Lian's backstory, I still don't understand what made him become the rapist and shameless man that he is, hurting so many innocent women? Anyone care to elaborate more on that, please?
For Ep 16, its awesome to have the gang scare WL shitless like that (love his spooked face), but I worry they might be revealing their hand too early and WL will take preventative measures to set them up. Hope everyone stays safe to the end...
Wu Lian did a good job disgusting me with all the girls he lied to, sleep with and killed. What a slimey character. Enemy of all women and underage girls. π€¬π
I gotta say, Ep. 23 the scene revealing his brother as the mastermind, with the luminescent hands when the light comes on and the camera pans out on GZY and everyone in the Gong family - it look pretty fantastic! Like the Avengers coming together lol This is one of the best WuXia of the year in terms of fighting and great camera work.
I'm probly in the minority here, but so far I don't ship XY with any men yet. I mean all three men got issues. Though by order of most likeability atm, Jing get first place for at least sticking by her like a friend and loyal supporter, XL for taking on that poison bug curse with her, and then last place for me is CX - with no particular reason other than him sticking up for that bitch of a sister of his and hurting XY. I look forward to seeing CX regretful/pained face when he realizes shes XY, I just hope XY don't forgive him too quickly.
I guess if we're talking about love interest, XL seem to be more of the ML but hes so abusive with her at the beginning. Idk if thats how they wrote his character's behaviors or if its within that demonic nature of his as a nine-headed demon and his past experience. Maybe he is starting to change once he realizes he's in love and learns how to love but then thats to be determined at a later time in future episodes.
Its not without it flaws though definitely one of the better ones out of all the xianxia drama this year. Lol i was worried for a sec there but turn out to be a great ending! It deserve higher rating.
It was a double touchdown for me in Episode 9 when GJS protect YR and then stated in front of the crowd that capable women runs his household and then later when he whip himself, to get the Wang to apologize to his wife. Seriously, he was way too dashing. Tbh at first I didn't think he fit someone who train in martial arts but glad the actor proves me wrong. Once again I am impress by BJT performance.
Viki is so behind. They should have subbed up to episode 16 by now. I got impatient and watched on another site.
Viki usually focus on quality and try to subbed true to original meaning as much as possible. They rarely subbed c-drama episodes as they come out. Most of the time it's k-drama episodes that get priority and 100% subbed within 24 hours after they aired. Ofcourse it also depends on popularity and the amount of subbers/editors.
Ep. 40: God the ppl from the 9 families are such assholes. It was unnecessary for them to create a rift between Yang Hao and Li Cu. I'm so annoyed Yang Hao fell for it so easily, like he always have trust issues with Li Cu but Li Cu never did anything before to betrayed that trust so why can't he believe him or at least ask him to clear it up. I really don't like Yang Hao character, he keep blaming LC for everything but dude LC didn't want you to come because he knows it's dangerous. He complains that he has a grandma to take care of but then insisted on coming anyway then when anything goes wrong its always LC's fault. π€¦ββοΈ
Kinda sad this show won't have the kind of promotion like other drama. Even though it may be a melodrama, Li Landi just gain popularity from the hit drama TSL. They could at least put out a teaser or something. Her company not doing a very good job promoting her
If you never watch J-dramas before you might find the comedy a bit exaggerated but thats just how the language itself and Japanese skits are. Theres also a mixed of what they called kabuki comedy so its meant to be over dramatic. They just have a different sense of humor than other countries so it may take time getting use to.
I watched Gintama anime a long while ago so was interested to see how the live-action movie is. Boy, it did not disappoint, made me laugh so hard even though I already knew about Benizakura Arc beforehand. They did not shy away from dirty jokes like the anime, which I absolutely love. Not to mention Oguri Shun is one of the best Japanese actor out there.
I wouldve like that they pick someone else to play Hijikata Toshiro though
This is a cute, super fast-paced mini-drama. Its not the best out there but not the worst either. Theres some chemistry between main leads though I feel ML is the better actor out of the two. A lot parts seem exaggerated but I think it was intentional.
