Yeah. In the novel, she knew about it, so she stop being friends with him and never forgave him for what he did. In drama version though, they are still friends during the 10 years and it seem by the end of the drama, she never knew what he did. Felt like a loose end there

They made Jiang Yan's chara so ridiculous. Hes the reason Zhou Wan got kidnapped 10 years ago and hes also the reason she gets kidnapped 10 years later. So much for close friend yet he can never keep his mouth shut, always landing her in danger. Worse, she never knew about it.

We're good. I blamed neither the FL nor the ML and they only acted on what they each believe is right. They have different perspectives, often opposites which is very interesting and I was trying to understand that from the novel standpoint. Drama version often leaves out or changes a lot of the details, but I believe the emotional core of their feelings should still be very similar, even if not exactly the same.

Lol I literally said there in the first sentence that is what I read from the novel, there was no confusion on my part, only certain people who cannot comprehend what they read.

So I read part of the novel, understood somewhat about both LXX and ZW current state of mind (which the novel made their perspectives very unique and interesting). LXX always have a gut feeling that ZW will leave him so he does all he can in order to keep her by his side including consciously getting stab in front of his chest instead of the normal reaction of shielding her with his back facing the knife. While ZW, due to her upbringings and what his grandfather said, believes herself a burden, that this only happen to him because of her bad luck, that he wouldn't experience all these mishaps if they were never together, so in a rational and a decisive way, she broke up with him. She has really low self-esteem and thought that since he had so many girlfriends previously, losing her would be just a brief sadness yet ensure his future ahead to be happy and smooth.

In the phone call scene after LXX found her grandma's blessed talisman with ZW written wish for him to have happiness and peace also on it, he relented by persistently calling her, giving her a chance to come back to him and admit she loves him. Her wish for his happiness is nothing but mockery to him because she is not with him, how can he be happy when he is suffering due to her one-side decision? LXX knew his grandfather have something to do with their break up but ZW made the decision to end hers and his happiness herself without believing in him, thus is why he is so angry with her and blame her for doing him wrong.

This drama is most similar to Summer’s Desire (starring Barbie Hsu who unfortunately passed away last year) and it several other adaptations with the same name.

Five minutes into the drama and I'm already disappointed that they dubbed LYT's voice. Her real voice is so much more authentic and unique. Even better for a comedy

Seem to me like this couple -one person has physical illness and one has a mental trauma. Looking forward to watching them heal each other through love

I really hope she actually trust him and was just putting on a show to fool her enemies

I know this whole drama is about Zhan Zhao but not seeing Bao Zheng or Gongsun Ce and the Kai Feng gang at all feels a bit odd somehow especially when hes already an imperial officer at this point. I wouldve understand if this was his adventure in jianghu way before he works for Bao Zheng or became imperial cat. but when he suffer injustice and his friends from KaiFeng not making any appearance at all really feels out of place.

I haven't finish the drama yet but by the look of it, there are only mentions here and there.

I don't like that ML decided to erase FL memories. He messed up yet there he goes again not giving her consent on the matter. Good or bad, even if he don't want to tell her his secrets, she has the rights to her memories. This is leaving her vulnerable to her enemies

Because DX is literally on a suicide mission. He rather sacrifice his senses, shorten his life, burn out like fireworks just so SM can remember him for some hundred more years. I think he needed SM to act this way, like seriously everyone else just let him do whatever he want. Shes not heartless, he needed this wake up call from SM, what hes doing is pretty cruel to her too. All his effort in getting her to fall in love with him and hes not gonna value his life so he can be with her longer smh

Last thing, they need to communicate their troubles with each other more. I'm a little frustrated seeing them deal with their battles on their own without telling each others

Praying they don't mess up the ending. Please keep it close as much to novel's ending as possible!

Same here. I can't hate him either although he does a heck of a job playing the obsessive 2ndML villain characters, both here and in Flourished Peony. I just hope he doesn't continue getting typecast in big production like this again as he deserves a big break on a variety of other roles as well.

My thoughts too, so I'm thinking since its true she has 22 past lovers in the past 400 years, thats about an average of one lover every 18 years, give or take. lol

Since she never had any senses (especially sense of touch), I assume she did not have intimate relations with those men, but then again I'm not so sure because its really all up to her on whether she wants to let any man get intimate with her or not even if she can't feel.

I'd like to think that she will have her first sexual relationship with Duan Xu though 🤭
