Title LoveSick 2024 Spoiler
To answer some of these questions:1) Yes. Phun does have a girlfriend. And if it were up to him, he'd be the boyfriend…
Ugh. Another problem with the Youtube version. LOL. They cut out the scene where Noh's mom explains what that is. Which is fine, because otherwise, that scene was just silly.

Phun and Noh were allergic to the soap that Uncle Noi was using to wash Noh's scooter. In the original series, its only Phun who has that reaction.

But its largely symbolic at the moment, revealing their inner feelings for each other. The encounter with Noh has made Phun burn up with desire even more than he was before. Noh is starting to get there, but is only impacted a little. So its a check in, since lord knows, these boys don't talk about their real feelings. LOL. Its an "allergy" and an "allegory" at the same time. Its the "love sickness" that neither of them will ever recover from even though some Benadryl would clear that right up.

Overall, I'm not disappointed in episode 1. We managed to make it through without anyone vomiting! Which we didn't do in the original series. We'll get there, eventually, since Cheewin is at the helm of this series. But many of my fears about this re-adaptation were mitigated somewhat. Noting what I liked better:
1) The introduction of the Angels gang was more up to date than what we had seen before. They are dancing and happy and not farting, suffering from diarrhea, gross, and so uncoordinated that they fall down. They seem fun.
2) I actually like that they gave the names of the characters in episode 1. They never did that in the original, so us fans had to keep crib sheets.
3) Khom is in the music club, where he belongs, and not off on the swim team, which I hope means there won't be hour after hour devoted to Jeed. The original series tended to give over full episodes explaining the backstory of every character who had more than 2 lines in the novel. Yuri once tells Noh that he doesn't understand how mean and nasty the convent school girls can be...and hooboy, did the original series give us lots of convent stories with nasty convent girls.
4) Pang being transfixed by the Playboyy cast, probably means no Pop and Shay.
5) Speaking Pang's old storylines, I thought we had been introduced to Munmee at the dinner with Yuri and Aim and went back to check on the YouTube version. I think that scene was cut out of the Youtube version. Which is too bad. Look, I know that BL fans watch these things for the boys, but Yuri and Aim are really, really important characters. I hope this doesn't mean that they are going to pretend that the girls simply don't exist on Youtube.

Does Pun really have a girlfriend? it seems like he already had a crush on no the first time he laid eyes on him.…
To answer some of these questions:
1) Yes. Phun does have a girlfriend. And if it were up to him, he'd be the boyfriend for both Aim and Noh. He wants to care for both of them. While I wouldn't call him a "player" per se, he's not the first person in the world who'd like to have his cake and eat it, too, when it comes to relationships.
2) My guess is that fewer of these characters will step up with their own storylines this time. But one of the themes of Love Sick is "High School", so there's a lot of characters and a lot of activity going on all the time. One of the things that Noh learns in story is how falling in love with someone like Phun and trying to keep it a secret impacts the relationships he has with other people. At the same time, Noh's friends and music club mates are kind of a rowdy mob of wolf puppies so its hard to always tell them apart. This contrasts his life at school with the possibility of a different life with Phun. You'll eventually get the hang of it. But as a primer:
1) Ohm is by far the most important person in the mass of Noh's friends.
2) If he's complaining about schoolwork, the people who are with him will be his classmates.
3) If anyone is calling Noh "p", he's hanging out with music club members. With the exception of Ohm, the music club members and classmates don't interact that often.
4) If they are wearing and armband, they are student council members, and friends of Phuun. The only one of those who matters is Fi.
5) The boys in the hats are the cheerleaders and the only ones of those who matter are Earn and Pete.

I was kind of hoping that older Ongsa 2 was an evil bitch who convinced older Ongsa 1 to kill himself so that he could have Soon. Soon in his timeline is dead, so he’s his own evil Love rival. Sadly, this series refuses to play along and continues to take itself seriously.

Since multiple copies can exist on the same timeline, I would like this to end ten years from now in 2024, when Ongsa and Soon would have time traveled so many copies of themselves into the timeline that half the population of Thailand are Soons and Ongsas of various ages.

Nice shout out to Gallaudet, which was historically a very important instution for changing the paradigm away from oralism as the primary approach to teaching deaf children. That said, it did seem like Cheong Ah’s dad turned a new leaf, only to trick her into leaving the country just as she made friends.

Otherwise, the ending seemed noticeably cheesier than what had come before. They did rush through and resolve what we needed to know, but sheesh…

I guess the moral of the story is that money makes your life better, since the biggest change Eun Gyuel was able to make stick was his mom stayed rich.

I mean, some of these changes have to stick, don't they? If the point of this series is that you can't change the past, I'm a bit miffed that they bothered to go to the past. Its rather cruel. At the very least, couldn't Cheong Ah stay reconciled with her father so that the Ha family isn't poor and evicted from their home?

I want to travel to the past and find the person who gave driving license to people in 1995...
They had speed bump technology in 1995, too. How many people gotta get hit on that block before someone in the department of streets and roads does something about it. I say fire the cliff planner and toss the mayor out of office,

Yeah. If he does have this tech, it should be in the far far future. I mean if someone invented a time machine and could do all the things you mention from across dimensions, I'd hope they'd come up with better uses for it than "help two randos fall in love." We're talking "put a man on the moon" level funding for the research behind this tech. Trillions of dollars spent because we're softies about young love.

I loved the CampFire episode - twist and all. Turbo and Kaownah have always had great chemistry that felt real.…
Yeah. There's still projects listed on their MDL profiles, but with these two, they've had more projects cancelled over their career than any other ship. Its a shame. They were very popular, but couldn't ever seem to translate their social media popularity into anything.

You know when you go into an audition and you make an acting choice and it can change the intention of a scene?…..This…
The character hasn't done enough to earn an emotional response from us. Its not just the acting. Its just hard to root for the character. And you have to someone root for a character before you're willing to share emotions with him.

It just goes on and on and on and on and on. And I know they want me to be sad, but I can't because Suasoon's plan is just so god damned stupid that it hurts. They needed to timeskip back to the future this episode, but no. Just scene after scene of nothing but confessions that could have been handled last episode. Sorry, I think Wabu Sabi has dropped a dud here. I can't stand old Suasoon's pouty face any longer because he's going way out of his way to make himself miserable. You can't feel sorry for stupid. If my heart cries its for Ongsa for listening to Suasoon's BS that's sucking all the optimistic energy out of his character.

It's funny how that master gave eun yu valid money to spend and eun gyeol got modern currency lol... 😂
Master must have been very careful when selecting that cash, though. Even though the general design of the dollar hasn't changed, its easy to figure out when it was issued.

Yeah. I don't know which parents are worse, though. Cheong Ah's step mom is also very horrendous, and I blame the father for marrying her as well. You don't accidentally marry the wicked step mom.

not denying that se kyeong lead a hard life too, her mom was toxic & her relationship failed but in 2023 it's…
Her daughter is getting anti-anxiety meds, but those were probably just described by a regular physician. And those were probably prescribed so she could continue to perform and not because anyone was interested in the triggers for those panic attacks.

It just dawned on me the girl Eun Ho likes in the present is Eun Yu. Curious to see how it plays out with Eun…
Yeah. Its going to make returning to the present very awkward. I wouldn't mind if once he figures it out (how many cello players who know sign language can there be?), they agree to drop it. Its o.k. if this ends up with Eun Gyeol single but having experienced a little dating fun for awhile. Sadly, though, they don't put four actors in a Korean rom com where they don't end up together in the end. And of course, truly experiencing high school in Korean means you have to be paired up with your life partner by the time you're 18, so Eun Ho is probably outta luck.

Yep. I think they wanted me to feel sorry for Name with his story about not wanting to be a thug, but it wasn't earned because he's been awol for 6 weeks. When we first met him, he was just classmates with the the brother. Now they are friends? There's backstory there that they don't bother with because they are the D couple in this series. If they are going to be a couple at all.

Lordy. I didn't realize how much time would be spent with Older Soon. I was kind of looking forward to seeing Mix in a BL series, but since episode 1, he's just existed to be alone and ignored. Phooey. He's in a side story.

Older Soon is frustrating me to no end. Like what's your motivation, dude? To prevent your young self from ever meeting and falling in love with him? Did you think his life with you was that horrible that the time you had together would be better spent apart? Do you actually pay attention to the romantic movies you are watching? I get it that three times he's had important people die on him, but seriously...maybe it'll turn out that Ongsa and Soon didn't have the relationship we thought they had in episode 1. But he's acting a bit selfish in my opinion.

I think Bud is just embarrass by his mom career.
IDK. Bud's reaction seems pretty normal to me. He can't believe his mom is extraordinary because she's his mom and he's a teen. Yet he's still superstitious. I'm a little bit the same way. The ghost stories of my younger days fail to scare me, because ghosts aren't real, but that doesn't mean I'm going to stay overnight in a decrepit old mansion or walk down a dark hallway.
