Dropped this drama before because of the FL. Rewatching it again. Before some people go ‘you can’t handle a StRonG fEmaLe LeAd’ let me tell you I don’t hate strong female characters. Her acting was straight up cringey and hard to watch esp in the beginning. This kind of slapstick comedy/acting can only be pulled of by very few actors (like Jun Ji Hyun, Shin Hye Sun). She isn’t one of them. And no, I don’t hate the actress either. I find her pretty decent in other kdramas. Her character does get bearable after she toned down her “comedic” and extra side. Wish she relied less on Vincenzo to get the job done. He’s always the mastermind and she’s almost like a side character so idk what the hype around her is all about. The characters don’t have much depth. I don’t have an issue with it because the drama is meant to be that way and I enjoyed it regardless. It’s like you can’t dislike/criticise a FL in MDL these days. Fans get defensive and always assume it’s either because A)-we don’t like a Strong FL or B)-we only want a Strong FL. It’s annoying. There are many reasons to not like a character. Aside from that, I’m impressed with Taecyeon. I’ve only watched few of his dramas and he has never made any impression on me as an actor. He outshined SJK in episode 11.
A good watch for sure. The shamanism and folklore aspect was interesting to watch. This was more like a mystery than a horror drama. The only complaint I have is the characters aren’t utilised properly. There’s no character or relationship between characters that I wanted to root for. Also the mother was totally useless and only there to cause inconvenience to SY.

Nah SHS is carrying the drama. The lack of chemistry is definitely not because of the acting. They really dragged out some parts of the drama which made the romance bland and stagnant for too long. Also, discrediting someone’s point entirely by accusing them of being defensive of their favourite actor is childish. If anything I can tell you’re a huge Kim Tae Ri fan, nothing wrong with that. They’re both good actresses.
I’m also watching Revenant. The plot is very interesting, characters aren’t but I don’t blame the actors. It’s the writing which is plot driven.

I never said conflict was necessary? Like you said, romantic relationships don’t end when they get together. I want to see their relationship develop further than flirting and dating as they face obstacles together(Which will happen in the upcoming episodes). Also the trip didn’t need to be an entire episodes for the sister to use it against them.

No romance doesn’t end when they get together. There was no conflict or development in the characters and their romantic relationship in episode 10. The vacation didn’t need to be made into an entire episode although idm because I enjoyed it. It was more like filler or fan service done tastefully imo. It all comes down to preference. Some might find the sweet moments with no development in their romance or plot draggy and unnecessary. I enjoyed it.
Just found out the actor who played Yoon Si Hyun is the same actor from Temptation of the wolves and My tutor friend. What a glow up! She looked familiar somehow(I don’t follow her work) I loved her in this drama.
