Two things about this series. 1. It's 58 episodes << new rule in China must be only 40 episodes. So they either have to cut it down to 40 or have 2 seasons and it can't run second season close to first season. 2. If any of the actors, producers, directors get into trouble that will sink the whole production. I've removed from my plan to watch for these reasons. Too bad, hopefully it will be able to move forward but not holding my breath. Peace♥

I'm rewatching this. I am enjoying it again. Compared to some newer wuxia/fantasy this is not too bad. The story has many twists and turns. The acting is good, of course room for impovement, but doesn't take away from the story too much. I love the opening music in this one. It's a fun romp. Romance is touch and go. <<(It's a class thing noble or not.) The story centers around the ML and his friends. Mostly ML. I think it's worth watching. Don't compare it to later dramas as it was made in 2018 era which is 5 yrs ago now. Again I think it's well worth the watch. Peace♥

We all have seen behaviours that trigger us on screen. It doesn't mean anything. We either ignore them and carry on or we stop watching. It's everyone's choice and perogative to watch or not. Skipping parts you cringe on is allowed. What we don't need is a running narative. It's all choice and each persons choice is theirs alone. No needed to be made public. You all are so free using the word "hate". Just because you don't click with an actor/actress doesn't mean you hate them. It's just how they perform their craft. It may not be the best they can do. If they consistently don't do their best then that on them. I did try to watch this but the script was all over the place. << Peace♥

This one for sure. Way better script, acting, CGI. music. All round excellent production.♥

In this series I think it's best to look at the ML role. Because his father and older brother died and left him the head of the family. He is filial to his Mother who has stuffed his household full of women he doesn't love. He does his best. Along comes another wife (set up) with a twist. The scheming of all the other concubines and his Mother is a maze FL has to find her way around. I think she does pretty good for a young girl thrown into a pit of vipers. In the end ML falls for her and she eventually melts and falls for him. Well worth the watch and rewatch if you like historical dramas. ♥

This is well worth the watch if you like historical dramas. The FL lead has a memorable life from a desolate childhood, daughter of a concubine, to wife of a marquis/duke. Full of character growth and endearing characters. (Of course some not so endearing.) Peace♥

Not many actors can make me cry but Yang Zi did it in Ep 15. Excellent performance. I'm just loving this series. So well directed and hardly a lull in the action so far.♥

No they don't end up together in the end. Xian Liu << white haired guy. I know they have such chemistry too. ♥
