I think the older, more mature actors are doing a great job. I remember when I was watching The Next Prince, the…
100% the director because all the older actors' in tnp are veteran actors who have such incredible performances before (i'm probably tad bit biased bc i'm a lakorn watcher).
IT'S SOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD. god i feel like one needs to scream this every week because if the geoblock restriction wasn't here it'd get so much attention FAWkkkkkk. tears started rolling down my eyes when hill asked yuka about if one day he stopped talking to her and i was so sad. i really come to the comments each week just to say this is really marchu's sweetest role he's ever gotten to play and hill is just bestest boi i love him sooooooo much.
no. just one ep per week but they did two eps just for the first week, and fast track starting from the second…
Week 1: EP 1+2 out for everyone Week 2: EP 3 for normal people, EP 4 for those who fast track (EP 4 is available online thanks to the kind people who fast track and rip it for us) Week 3: EP 4 for normal people, EP 5 for fast track Week 4: EP 5 for normal people, EP 6 for fast track Week 5: EP 6 for normal people, EP 7 for fast track Week 6: EP 7 for normal people, EP 8 for fast track
and it goes on like this. If the kind people who fast track also share with us new episode this week, we will get EP 5 but not EP 6.
After 5 years, they're finally freeing this lakorn from the basement. So for those who are waiting on filmed dramas, do not worry CH3 are super slow but they release their stocked dramas eventually
wait there are two episodes a week, I'm confused 😕
no. just one ep per week but they did two eps just for the first week, and fast track starting from the second week. so this week there's only 1 ep (ep 5 fast track) https://x.com/khunbobb/status/1968840945023037905?s=46
not completely based on manipulation because ML (Wi) does seem to be sincere with the MC (Dr Nong) to an extent…
His sister overworked herself because of the crappy hospital system in the rural countryside so she fell asleep while driving and crashed her car on the side of the road and is currently in coma -> Nong run for MP so he can push for policies to reduce work hours of doctors, punish those who sell/pass shifts
boy in a bl. interesting. can someone spoil me about the relationship between two leads? is it really based on…
not completely based on manipulation because ML (Wi) does seem to be sincere with the MC (Dr Nong) to an extent but he may have some hidden agendas. 4 out of 8 episodes so far Wi isn't hiding anything big yet from Nong except the fact that he's still in contact with his ex - an opposing political candidate.
Haven't watched it yet, but I'm surprised by the rather subdued reception to this series. I remembered when the…
the production leans more into television/lakorn style series rather than cinematic netflix-like series that the initial teaser gave off so folks may think it's low budget. i think it's one of the most interesting bl scripts this year. the low rating may also come from its inaccessibility and the bad english subs provided by monomax which don't translate well the full nuance and ingenuity of the script. if this were to be provided on a more accessible platform with better subtitles, this show is an easy 8.0 in comparison to other bl series
I know a lot of people haven’t gotten around to watching this yet. Totally fair. But if you do get the chance,…
it really is soooo good. sure there is dramatisation and exaggeration but a lot of the portrayal of thai electoral politics are very close to real life events whether it's the parliamentary dissolution, opposing parties playing tricks and staging scenes to thwart their political opponents' campaigns and images or parties pledging cash handout schemes to attract voters... as a viewer of some other monomax works, i think it's very close to what they usually offer on the site although probably less bloody/gory/action-packed because that isn't the main genre in the series where as that is Monomax's forte.
Just want to add on your point about Mandate not being designed for the BL crowd. I think this is very true because from the press junkets, Producer Moo Asava (who cameo'ed as singer A Ashwin in EP 4) elaborated on the beginning point of this project being that Monomax approached him about wanting to make a BL series for their platform (which usually does action/horror/thriller lakorn series) and P'Moo wanted to tackle something completely different from the current market and found his niche/untapped theme being gay politicians. I could tell there's a lot of passion into the series and I really hope people who are willing to give this fresh series a chance, especially those who are interested in politics.
