boy in a bl. interesting. can someone spoil me about the relationship between two leads? is it really based on…
not completely based on manipulation because ML (Wi) does seem to be sincere with the MC (Dr Nong) to an extent but he may have some hidden agendas. 4 out of 8 episodes so far Wi isn't hiding anything big yet from Nong except the fact that he's still in contact with his ex - an opposing political candidate.
Haven't watched it yet, but I'm surprised by the rather subdued reception to this series. I remembered when the…
the production leans more into television/lakorn style series rather than cinematic netflix-like series that the initial teaser gave off so folks may think it's low budget. i think it's one of the most interesting bl scripts this year. the low rating may also come from its inaccessibility and the bad english subs provided by monomax which don't translate well the full nuance and ingenuity of the script. if this were to be provided on a more accessible platform with better subtitles, this show is an easy 8.0 in comparison to other bl series
I know a lot of people haven’t gotten around to watching this yet. Totally fair. But if you do get the chance,…
it really is soooo good. sure there is dramatisation and exaggeration but a lot of the portrayal of thai electoral politics are very close to real life events whether it's the parliamentary dissolution, opposing parties playing tricks and staging scenes to thwart their political opponents' campaigns and images or parties pledging cash handout schemes to attract voters... as a viewer of some other monomax works, i think it's very close to what they usually offer on the site although probably less bloody/gory/action-packed because that isn't the main genre in the series where as that is Monomax's forte.
Just want to add on your point about Mandate not being designed for the BL crowd. I think this is very true because from the press junkets, Producer Moo Asava (who cameo'ed as singer A Ashwin in EP 4) elaborated on the beginning point of this project being that Monomax approached him about wanting to make a BL series for their platform (which usually does action/horror/thriller lakorn series) and P'Moo wanted to tackle something completely different from the current market and found his niche/untapped theme being gay politicians. I could tell there's a lot of passion into the series and I really hope people who are willing to give this fresh series a chance, especially those who are interested in politics.
Official YT EP01,EP02 with English subtitle thru NekoCap. EP01: https://nekocap.com/view/FvB9rw3Mm7EP02: https://nekocap.com/view/YdMCvpKQ9Z(Spanish)EP01:…
Thank you for the nekocaps! gagaoolala is not available in SEA so it's great to have nekocaps subs so we can watch straight on youtube and contribute to the official views in some way
No good English translation exists yet, which makes this kind of dialogue-heavy drama tough to follow. So here’s…
Thank you for the recap. Just a correction, Nong didn't save his dad, he saved the other patient first but unfortunately/ironically that guy died while his dad survived; hence Nong saying he's not even sure if one could say he made the wrong/right decision that day.
THIS SHOW!!!!!! that rating is so criminal and doesn't reflect the quality of the series at all. it's really well-filmed. i love how loving hill and junji are with each other. that scene where hill tells junji that he has to rest as well >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> i love junji now that he's loosened and opened himself to hill. the bit where he just closes his laptop after enjoying the massage from hill ahhhhhhh they're really adorable
their hug in ep 9 was sooooo precious to me. i love the way march's acting choices in that scene where he was smiling while opening his arms to comfort junji but once they're hugging he starts shedding his tears because it hurts to see your partner going through tough times indeed. hill is so beloved to me.
This show is sooooooo underrated. It has really nice cinematography, color grading, clean audio mixing, way more budgeted than your average lakorn... the romcom plot may be simple or predictable for many but i feel like it's serving exactly what it presented itself to be: a classic feel-good office romcom bl. March is so good in this and I find Hill so endearing, i'm rooting for him the most 🥹
it's such a predictable cliche lakorn that never had me on the edge of my seat but kept me tuning in every week to pass my wednesday evening. should just be a mediocre 6.0 drama but the ost is so good i'll give it 7.5 🤗 probably punpun's best acting performances out of all the ones she's had lately but the stylist or change2561 must really hate her bc she's been dressing the exact same ways for all her lakorns with them thank god i'm seeing son yuke and punpun reunited in shine where they had actual fantastic costumes 😌
No updates on the leads yet. It was just an industry event for GDH and their working industry colleagues to officially introduce what they are working on. There might be a GDH lineup event where they have all the leading actors of a project come because so far most of their working titles have only one/two actors announced.
Tbh i saw so many positive review of Top Form similar to this drama but i am still stuck in ep 10 of Top Form,…
Reset is also set in the entertainment industry but it's very different from Top Form. I don't think you should rush yourself into watching just because of the praises but whenever you're in the mood for a compelling romance of two characters who are just trying to live their best life while a bunch of obstacles are thrown in their way, I hope you keep Reset in mind for consideration.
here's a one line pitch for reset: Fan boy takes epic measures to get his Y/N moment and it works. 😉
