funnily enough the only time I got sad in ep 38 is when he said her smile was so ugly 🤣😫 tears suddenly started falling then..this is the first cdrama that I've watched that has balanced comedy and romance so well it's truly a gem. it never felt ott but it was always just right.

biggest highlights for me : 1. The playful dynamic between Ms Jin and XZ every time she teased SL. The way they interacted showed that they were closer to peers since they both lived for such a long time, and it's the most animated I've seen XZ interact with anyone beside SL.
2. I'm kinda shocked at the amount of stuff that passed censorship. Like how Ms Jin kept teasing SL about a matchmaker, it seemed that she was clearly referring to herself. Both Ms. Jin and XZ implied as much which was why XZ was so antsy (which was hilarious)
3. The cave scene. I already knew about LGX issue with kiss scenes so I was not expecting anything too passionate from him lol. I can forgive him tho cuz he's been excellent otherwise. But everything else in the cave scene was perfectly shot to me! i was impatient and read those 2 chapters and it's crazy how it well it was brought to life, especially the part with XZ and SL desires speaking to them. The dialougue was also super romantic, and I squeled at the "when I lost you" line oooooohhhh
4. XZ being more emotional and honest with his feelings in these 2 eps has been fun to watch. since his power is ice, it's like he's literally emotionally "defrosting" 🤣

LGX has been killing it for the entire show. Tbh I was not that impressed with him specifically when I watched PA (zyl stole the enitre show for me) but I have LOVED him in this. He perfected the subtlety and restraint of a last ancient god in the world perfectly

you're right, we don't have his side and like someone said in the comments, his betrayal seemed so sudden..but at the same time I don't think any explanation could redeem him from that kind of betrayal in SL's eyes. mofang knows that too , after serving her for so many years, he would know how she thinks and how important the Immortals and the realm is to her. i think thats why he looked so guilty/confused during the reveal - because he knew that trust is gone forever. its a done deal, no matter his reasoning
