I keep rewatching clips from the last 2 eps and junho really outdid himself. In his moments of anger, sadness or frustration I feel like I'm hanging on to every word and every facial expression. I keep asking myself if he was ever this good at acting before??? how come i never knew
I can talk about this drama for hours. Despite the flaws that everyone has rightfully pointed out, i still feel the good things about this drama far far outweigh the bad. An unexpected favourite from this year!
More ep 15 thoughts; I love how the push and pull is executed though it can be frustrating at times (and the pacing still hasn't been good as the earlier eps). That scene where San pulled her blouse and threatened felt like his revenge for how harsh she was towards him after they parted. In hindsight they were both really mean towards each other in the last 2 eps that it was inevitable for deok im to finally give in, because she knew they would keep terrorizing each other if she didn't

I agree. I think that's the drama's only flaw as well. I feel like the writers did not want to invent to much ( create a logical/coherent reason for her rejection) because of korea's sensitivity with historical revisionism. From what I've gathered from reading the comments here, there aren't any historical records of hers so there is no real way of knowing how she felt at the time, and why she truly rejected him. The fictional novel doesn't help much either. All there is is speculation; whether she truly liked him, or she was afraid of getting caught up in palace politics, or some other reason - there is no way of knowing. So the writer is in an awkward position of not offending the public by adding too much of her inventions about the reasoning for deokim's rejections, and not having any source material to work with. Layered with the fact that jeongjo is such a loved historical figure over there.
