Never a dull moment in this long drama.

What stood out most to me was the depth of the characters even the villains goid/bad often felt human and worthy of sympathy. The acting & costumes were great, every character, good or bad, evolved over time Ruyi left the biggest impression on me. Her extraordinary patience, emotional discipline, resilience, and discernment. Unlike many drama protagonists, she never transformed into a revenge driven character despite everything she suffered. I found the Emperor deeply disappointing as the story progressed. At first he seemed loving and decent, but over time his ego, lust and insecurity eroded the relationship that mattered most. Overall this series was emotionally rich, psychologically layered but deeply human.

We Are All Just Trying completely surprised me!

I went into it expecting a simple, surface-level romantic K-drama about a film writer, but it turned out to be one of the most emotionally layered and character-driven dramas I’ve watched in a long time.
The plot itself isn’t overly dramatic or complex, but the characters are what make the series so compelling. Every character feels human, flawed, layered, and emotionally real. Their emotional highs and lows drive the story more than the actual events, which made every interaction feel meaningful.
Hwang Dong-man was such a fascinating protagonist. He’s unpredictable, loud, extroverted, cringey, pitiful, funny, and somehow still incredibly lovable all at once. Meanwhile, Eun Na is much quieter and more introverted, but there’s so much happening beneath the surface. Watching the two of them connect and understand each other so naturally was one of the best parts of the show.
This drama balances comedy and emotional pain so well. It can make you laugh and cry within the same episode without either feeling forced. Every character brought something interesting to the story, and by the end, it felt less like watching fictional people and more like watching real lives unfold.
100/10. Easily one of my favorite K-dramas of 2026 and absolutely a drama I would rewatch.

One of the most relatable dramas I’ve ever watched

The drama captured the quiet exhaustion of everyday life in such a realistic and comforting way.
What made it special was how simple yet emotionally honest it felt. It wasn’t overly dramatic, but every emotion felt real. I especially connected to the main character’s inner loneliness and desire to feel understood. A deeply healing and memorable drama for me.

Funny & Refreshing

Mr. Queen was one of the most refreshing K-dramas I've ever watched. At the time, I had never seen anything quite like it. The unique premise, hilarious comedy, and excellent performances made it stand out from other historical dramas.
What really made the show work was the acting. The cast fully committed to the absurdity of the story, and the result was both hilarious and surprisingly heartfelt. The soundtrack was also memorable and complemented the drama perfectly.
Funny, creative, entertaining, and completely different from anything else I had watched at the time.

Super intense and intellectually stimulating.

A psych thriller that constantly challenged my assumptions. Every character felt like a suspect at some point, had me questioning motives and piecing together clues. The show’s strength was in its layered storytelling, moral complexity, and the way it blurred the lines between guilt and innocence. I was especially impressed by the acting especially Shin Ha-kyun and how naturally the characters embodied their roles. Its writing, performances, and ability to keep me engaged from start to finish.

An emotional and deeply relatable watch

I found myself connecting with both sisters in different ways, especially the feelings of isolation, watching life pass by while simply trying to survive, and struggling in a toxic work environment. This drama captured those emotions with a realism that felt painfully accurate at times. What I appreciated most was how honestly it portrayed the ups and downs of life. It was sad and heavy in moments, but also comforting and healing. The performances were incredible and made every emotional scene feel genuine and impactful. A beautifully written and acted drama that stayed with me long after watching. 10/10.
