I assume he actually knew she's already dead after some time . Thats why he repeatedly try to kill himself. But…
I felt the same way, after the suicide attempts even crying at the diner, I had a feeling he knew the worst :’( which made it even more depressing tbh …

This drama is a tribute to the victims of Gwangju Uprising and to those people who lost their loved ones at that…
Yes it does, oof. Couldn’t have said it better my friend :’)

mhm ^ this comment right here … 100% agree, that’s all I’ve been seeing in these comments which is bs, it’s one thing if you didn’t like the drama and rated it, its another thing entirely to rate a drama low just because the ending was sad and one of the main leads died, even when it was forshadowed, and the story was coherent, “bad endings are not sad endings,” and this drama deserves at least a 9.0 imo.

Oof … damn, so far the script for this show is slowly paced and bland as hell, nothing has happened in the plot for like three episodes lol, I feel everything now is just filler, but I’m not gonna completely annihilate this show like many other comments here, I will say the cinematography & subtle chemistry between boyoung & inguk has been great, hope there’s more to come in later episodes

It's kinda sad when you don't really care about what will happen with any of the characters. I really like Park…
Couldn’t agree more :/

It was stated in an earlier episode in a scene with the father in Naju before he made the trip, couldn't be reached…
This is a really good point! I’ve seen many rushed episodes in kdramas before and this drama didn’t rush too badly imo, events were spread out and evenly paced where it didn’t feel as rushed as it could’ve been. As for the brother’s actions I agree, he was incredibly naive but for his age, and it was actually shocking how he pretty much was the reason for Myeong Hee’s death, I didn’t see that coming at all lmaoooo

Kudos to the writer for playing with our feelings in the last episode. Because at the first, we see the skeleton…
YES that’s what I said in a previous comment, the end wasn’t as predictable as I thought it was going to be, the watch was passed around quite a few times and you never really knew who was going to get it in the end, but you DID because it was foreshadowed, the end absolutely destroyed me, especially when Hee Tae sat in the diner spreading missing persons flyers, the 80’s music plays and for once the flashback scenes really f— hurt and are necessary and he just starts bawling … omg, one of the first dramas in a hot minute that made me cry …

Lmao I saw it coming, but it doesn’t make it any less depressing, I’m empty inside ...
I saw it coming like I said, but there was character development from her death, and closure which made the ending satisfactory for me, when writers slide in deaths just because they couldn’t think of anything else, that’s when I get kissed off lol, but they didn’t do that.
