Just a fun fact: song kang trained in ballet for 6 months for this role. He MAY use body double on some angles…
Mhm, one of the reasons why he’s my fav, the dedication :’)

Finally, Navillera is here! First of all, let me tell you how proud Song Kang makes me feel. He is such a pro.…
I KNEW IT WAS HIM DOING HIS OWN STUNTS, I saw that behind the scenes, the dedication indeed! He could have these skills for the rest of his life too! :’)
He’s incredibly diverse and that’s why I love his acting, he’s got quite the future ahead of him!

I absolutely loved second episode. Chebol writernim... Don't add romance. It will ruin the essence of the show.
Lmao, if they do, it should be at the end by far, Chae rok might get together with that work chick though so who knows lol

Can we just take a minute to appreciate how well this show represents depression? I mean in all honesty, I feel like mental health is brushed over in kdramas but the first episode really captured how depression works, mainly with Song Kang’s character Chae Rok:

At the beginning of the episode we see him living alone and it’s foreshadowed his mother recently passed away and he doesn’t have anybody, he’s definitely depressed, and by the end of the first episode we find out quite a bit about his life: his fathers in jail but getting ready for parole, he’s interested in ballet, he has enemies, or people that treat him like sh— with a few friends including from work or the doctors office, and his ballet instructor, but in the first episode we see him following a repetitive daily routine, which means no change, he’s literally repeating his day over and over again, doing the same exact things in a darkened room, he tries to stay in bed, and has sleeping issues, he skips meals, we also see he’s taking medication for his knee injury, but we don’t know for sure if he’s taking other meds, maybe antidepressants? As someone who suffers from depression it’s refreshing to see some accuracy in how depression works, or seeing some accuracy in someone suffering from it, though it’s not to be taken lightly, I just want to thank the writers for showing us these details. I look forward to newer episodes, it’s gonna be agonizing waiting every week :’(((

Okay, real talk though, the nose structure of the FL is everything lol, it’s rare to see nose types like hers, and I feel less insecure when I see them because my nose is like this xD
it’s hella refreshing <3

Love triangles are so pointless in kdramas. I honestly think no SLS is gonna hurt me after Start up but even if…
LMAO I BET YOU COULD. Why don’t you send it in to Studio Dragon and the writer so they can see the reality all of us were hoping for, aka, a reality where jipyeong isn’t tossed aside like trash and gets the girl and all the things :’))))
All the characters in start-up beside grandma and jipyeong felt wrong imo, like whenever he stuck up for them they’d just let that sh— slide like it didn’t mean anything, the scene where Dosan and Jipyeong are at Dalmi’s house .... and Dosan says “you’re taking the only thing I love away from me” I f— lost it, I wanted to b— slap the hell outta him, like excuse me sir, who’s the orphan with no family here? LIKE SHUT UP. Even the Samsan tech guys pissed me off, they didn’t care about anyone but themselves half the time. As for Dalmi, she didn’t even consider jipyeongs feelings for one second, even when she found out Dosan was lying she STILL went back to him and I’m going “yeah, because any girl would do that in real life for lying to them about your identity ...” ugh pisses me off to this day. I tell all my friends though, the only good thing that came out of start-up was a boost in Kim Seon-ho’s career, and that’s it lol

Yeah, honestly, I’d watch TKEM for yourself to see what all the criticism is about, because you won’t know unless you watch it, but don’t expect any consistency in the plot whatsoever lol, and expect an anticlimactic ending that still haunts my nightmares lmao, it was bad ... (This is from a Lee Minho fan btw, so you have to take me seriously lol). 2020 kdramas SUCKED DUDE, there were only a couple good ones, Crash Landing on You was one of the good ones!

International companies entering the korean drama industry is weird to me... I moved away from American TV shows…
I feel the same, but as long as the culture isn’t disrespected, I’m fine with it. I’ve watched American dramas my whole life and I needed a change, kdramas were that change for me lol, I also hope directors and screenwriters respect that western dramas have a western vibe, kdramas have a whole other feel <3

I know that not every drama has to have the plot where women play an important role, but seriously? Not even one…
Lol girl, I don’t need females being leads in every drama, same vice versa, sometimes that guy vs. guy plot structure can be a good thing ;) there are some female characters in the first ep. though!

First episode was really solid y’all, I’m impressed with the action & pacing so far, and I love we’re getting some Latin culture shock in the first episodes, not to mention some good ol comedy that isn’t irrelevant to the plot or forced but is actually funny and has a purpose, in just the first episode, it’s a breathe of fresh air, and the series looks promising. I especially love Dong Yoon as Chung Nyung so far, and his bodyguard, they make a good team. This show definitely isn’t like Kingdom, I see a lot of people comparing the two, cool your jets folks, we’re dealing with some demonic sh— here xD

The first episode seems so real, like it has interpersonal problems and it’s already grabbing me with some character backgrounds etc, this series is starting out real solid so far :’)

Song Kang does all the ballet scenes himself or do they use a stuntman?
I think all the ballet scenes by himself! There was some behind the scenes with him doing ballet, I think he’s doing his own stunts! Impressive if so!

Person Lee Min Ho
Lee Min Ho has officially joined the cast of Apple TV+’s “Pachinko”!The drama is based on Min Jin Lee’s…
I know this is technically and American drama but I’m curious if he’s going to speak a mixture of Korean or English, I’m excitedddd! If the show is entirely in the Korean language I’ll still be excited! :’) he’s still gonna be a “rich” character though lol, I’ve seen him play enough rich characters
