Ashes of Love is an epic angsty romance. Romance of Hua Rong is a comedy romance. They have different settings, but both have a fantasy martial arts / magic world.
I recommend them because they have very similar relationship vibe. They have strong male leads and impulsive female leads. The male leads decide early on that they will only and ever love the female leads, while the female leads can't seem to figure out how they feel. In AoL, it's because of the unfeeling pill, while in HR, she's just dense. Both shows have FL who betray/hurt the ML deeply, but the ML don't waver in their affections even so.

I've seen only a few episodes of Hua Rong. So far, Hua Rong is a more lighthearted drama than Yunxi. And of course Hua Rong is about a pirate and Yunxi is about a prince. Yunxi is also a much longer show.
They're similar in many ways. They're both historical romance, without being strict on the "historical" part. They're both in the ?? category. (A romance where the man spoils and indulges the girl, but he's still very much in control of the situation.)
Both the female leads are self confident and irreverent when it comes to people with titles or power. They have a strong sense of right and wrong, but only follow their own moral compass. They both stumble into problems/political games that are much bigger than they're used to. Oh, and they're both gorgeous.
Both male leads are politically and martially powerful, and cunning. They are able to predict what other people will do, and are almost never caught in traps. They start off suspicious of the female leads but end up liking them because of they're sense of righteousness.
