What happened is people here have watched so many shows that they have become saturated so they can't watch a show with a new perspective. It's like hating a new romance drama for using rich guy/poor girl trope while completely ignoring the setting, acting ect.

The girl in the beginning can't be Bong Yi because in the beginning of the episode where KKH is in church the scene cuts back to 10 years ago meaning she is older than both the doctor's son and the police officer.

If that does happen, it means that the writers and actors did a really good job.

This was my first historical drama, the only reason I started watching was both the leads are my faves but I don't know anymore.

I would say it's not in our culture, in western countries you are expected to move out when you turn legal adult but not in Asian countries. From the beginning you are taught to respect the family so stuff like moving out (especially after marriage if the reason is not job related), divorce is looked down upon.

I guess your not Asian, but in most Asian countries it's common to live parents even after you get married or have children the only time you might leave the house maybe because you get transferred (job) to somewhere else or for studying purposes.
