Title When the Phone Rings Spoiler
Ep 7///// isn’t it kinda clear that Park Dojae is the one that pushed Heejo and is working with the kidnapper?…
If the drama is the way you say, then yes. But I saw dramas in wich they keep showing one thing and in the end they just come up with another random character that did it...
Like they show man hands and big characters that faught with profesional fighters (always dressed in black), then they make the bad guy a girl... made 0 sense.
So I wonder is this show gives us true clues or if they just misdirect.

Title Mr. Plankton Spoiler
No, the mother did not discard him. She committed suicide.
That would be amazing but would the director live such an important info so unaddressed?
I mean the husband and the kid had their life ruined buy that event (which would turn out to be a missunderstanding?)... The husband became a zombie and the kid felt a bit responsable.
It would mean that the entire story would have happened because of a missunderstanding... The cops would have investigated, I mean a body was found... wouldn't they have the results of an autopsy?

Yes, I was the same but I got sick because of that, so I had to make a change because I was told I had exhaustion and my body was shutting down. So I decided to go to therapy and ask for help.
I don't know if it's the type of personality... because our mind seems unable to take a break.
I hope things will be better for you and that you find happiness!!!!

Title Mr. Plankton

I understand you, because I was in some bad situations as well, and in those moments it also crossed my mind that I felt exhausted and weak, it felt like it was too hard, but somehow after it passed I learned a few things about myself through other people's perspective. I was surprised that people praised me and told me how strong I was. Maybe because we are in the process of fighting and we are in pain we can't see ourselves clearly but others when looking at us can admire us.
From then on I try always to say "Just a little more, just like last time, it will pass!"
I know everyone has a limit but I don't want to let the pain warp and shape me completely, but it is part of me because there is always a lesson. I guess "change the bad into good" as much as possible.
I saw the projects you mentioned you are right. I like "Move to Heaven" as well.

Title Mr. Plankton Spoiler
No, the mother did not discard him. She committed suicide.
I know, but it was after she acted cold. Even the kid misunderstood her.
I guess because they did not focus on the fallout it seemed strange to me.
What I see is a couple that went through hard times and survived, and they wanted a child so much, an accident happened but they brought up the kid for 8 years, so their reaction and words were too much... I get that people can be angry at the situation but as adults the way they acted seemed to take it out on the kid, their reaction was not a reaction you expect adults to have.
The mother discarded him in the sense that she "ran away alone", but to tell you the truth for a second when she asked the kid to go with her, I thought she wanted to do exactly what she did but with the kid as well... My mind took me to that place when I saw the scene.

I think life is not easy and as we are not perfect there are many people that have trauma, and carry pain in a way or another, but it's interesting how that makes us human. If we would not be affected by anything nothing would be worth it.
Trauma is part of us, the process of working through it as well :)
For some reason I think this drama is amazing because it holds so many life lessons.

Title Nevertheless, Spoiler
The webtoon is different, this was changed, and it became better, a masterpiece.
I think so too, I think the people in charge of the show are amazing writers and elevated the webtoon.
After reading the comments I found very few that caught up with the directing/filming style, they said they needed to watch the series multiple times to realize certain things. And I think the majority did not realize them.
In my case, I get them because I studied script writing, animation, production, directing, character design, and storyboards. I give a lot of attention to micro-expressions, and the actions of the characters, and I notice immediately the visual messages and when they contradict the information we are told. "Show it don't tell it" In this show everything that we know about the male lead is filtered through the perspective of the characters, they constantly hang out with him because he is "trendy" and good looking but they judge him, spread rumors about him, gossip and bad mouth him. They make him the bad guy, but he never creates conflict or contradicts them. So what we know about him comes from a superficial view that people have of him.
But when it comes down to his actions he never pretends to be the perfect boyfriend, he never lies, and he is upfront about not having stable relationships or attachments. When it comes down to delicate situations he stepped up and helped the girl. He raises up to what he sets up for himself, he does not seek validation from others.
The girl comes from a toxic relationship is truly attracted to him and interested in his persona but everything he hears about him scares her, she also wants to change him, so she is conflicted and can't trust him...

I get it but I was just saying that this project is layerd and filmed in such a way that if you watch it multiple times you keep cathing on to things. So I just kind of came to the conclusion that 2 episodes will not let you see the entire picture. I also have to mentione that this show it's not like the webtoon.
It's not that I want to contradict you, seriously.

I watched it and it was good, I get frustrated with overly dumb plot holes and helpless FL and this one has none of that. I think it's ok if you don't expect over-the-top romance.
What are your favorites?

I think both FM (Mei Lin) and the General of Yan (Yin Luo Mei ) were drugged at one point in the show. Maybe other secondary girls as well, so which one do you mean?

I agree about the FL, I never thought that her actions were stupid, she just went with it because she really liked…
Ty!!!! I kept saying this over and over because no one noticed and kept calling him a red flag. The ML never lied once, from the start he told her exactly what he was doing and his thought, but the girl listened and believed more the rumor and the gossip. The was an amazing scene where the ML was visually separated by a shadow and the lockers, after we witness his experience, and we hear other characters interpret his experience and dimming them, winning over his true experience and spreading rumors effectively changing people's perspective of him. He then remains silent and does not correct them.
I think that is a very telling scene that kind of defines hist interaction with all characters except Nabi, and that is the way we as viewers get to know him, because that is what we are told by the characters, but the info does not match the actions at all, there are so many important visual q but people don't pay attention at all.
The reason they got together and he kept going to Nabi is because even with his immature thinking he recognized that Nabi had a serious/genuine interest in him, while all others never cared genuinely for him (the others did it for "cloud").
I think this show is a masterpiece in how they managed to tell the story, it has so many layers and the cinematography is amazing, the visual q are on point. "You have to show not tell".

When people say the ML is the worst red flag I'm really curious about what kind of men they usually meet when…
I don't think he is a red flag at all, I think this show is a masterpiece and layered and the majority don't get it.
The ML is completely different from how the other characters portray him, and we "learn" about him through their words/what we are told, but they are all lies, gossip and rumors, while we are silently shown through actions just the opposite, but people don't catch the q. At the end they don't stay together because of fake romance, or this ideal we learn about but rarely exists, they stay together because they actually want each other, they chose each other with awareness, so they will never break apart (but they both needed to get to that place).
It's also why I like the phrase "Love is choosing the same person every day" because it's not an accident, or random without reason, it implies it is a choice and work. People need to be willing to work and be present.

Who thought giving the ML this character is ok??? What in the numerous red flags is this huh !!!! I cant continue…
If you only watch 2 episodes you can't understand, this drama is layers and nothing we are told in the drama is true, the actions are the truth and the main guy's words are the truth. If you are not able to catch the q, you will not understand the message. This show is a masterpiece, as in how the story unfolds and how it was filmed.

it's not a red flag, and this is not romantic.

the original is from webtoon
Yes, but it was changed, the setting is the same but the dynamic and reasoning and how the story is, it's very different. So is the Japanese one closer to the webtoon or to the K version? Or is it interpreted differently?
