I only remember the reason for your second question. When SWL had offered SSY the cure SSY denied it over the…
Yeah but IIRC before SWL made his offer, SSY asked Chang Yu for the drug. Chang Yu rejected SSY plea. Then SWL called SSY to make a deal. SSY refused it at least 2 times. He even thought "too bad for his father" lol. They had been working on this drug for months specifically for Sheng's father. Now that it's ready, why scheme like that ? Why test SSY ? That was gratuitous. Regarding SSY business, I don't remember exactly but Hua Yong actions made SSY lost several deals and almost bankrupt before he decided to joint force with SSY company. I still don't get it.
I love this series but ep8 was boring. I know they're following the book closely but I don't think every situation has to be brought onscreen. Especially scenes that can be confusing for the viewers. I've read the book and there were two instances where I still don't get Hua Yong motives and thought his actions were unnecessary. Maybe some of you can explain to me ? -In ep8, when Hua Yong sends luring pheromones to Sheng during the meeting. In the book, the whole situation didn't make sense to me. What was the point ? -When SWL offers the cure to Sheng in exchange of Hua Yong. At this time, Hua Yong and Sheng are together, it's obvious Sheng loves Hua Yong. So why put Sheng into agony and make him choose between his father and Hua Yong ? And when Sheng refuse SWL's offer, thus proving his love for Hua Yong, why Hua Yong still goes to SWL ?
Desire is one of the best ABO novel I've read but tbh moments like those mentioned above made me question the work : there's times when Hua Yong's schemes went too far, either by jeopardizing Sheng's business and credibility or by emotionally abusing Sheng. Quite OOC for a character that profess his everlasting love and devotion for Sheng but then does extreme shit hard to forgive.
Too cheesy and repetitive for me but my god, Pond and Peterpan acting was amazing! Last episode was a masterclass of acting (when Armin is in coma, when Tada ask Armin to marry him). Excellent pairing.
I might be in the minority but I am not liking SWL-GT track as much as everyone else. I feel like the whole track…
Thank you! SWL is a jerk but he's not to be blamed for GaoTu's actions. People criticize HuaYong and say HuaSheng is toxic while they forget GaoTu is also a liar and problematic. They don't want to talk about GaoTu having sex with someone drunk... He knew Shen wasn't aware of his actions, he took his chance cause he thought he could never have Shen any other way. That's not a green flag behaviour. Him disappearing because Shen told him he would make his omega abort was dumb cause of course Shen would say that. Everyone knows he hates omega! His running away when his father asked Shen money for his abortion is also stupid. He didn't even sit and talk with Shen, he just assumed things through the whole story and got miserable from his own actions. I'm sorry but I don't blame SWL at all.
‎I just found my favorite TikTok video so far, it has a great caption about Hua Yong, and the song choice ("Don’t…
I love him so much! I'm gonna read the novel asap. I thought I had seen the worst with Ming but Hua Yong takes the crown. I didn't know I was color blind until these two characters.
I believe Hua Yong really wants to be this person he's presenting to Sheng. From the spoilers I've read, Sheng is the only person that makes him feel something. He created this whole persona to be with him because he wants to dote on him, to please him.
I find Hua Yong's character really complex and fascinating. I keep wondering what he's thinking while he manipulates Sheng. Like, is he happy when Sheng is almost crying while tending his wounds ? Or he's not feeling anything, just checking another box of his mastermind plan ? Does he drop the pretense once they're officially together or he's still Omega Hua Yong ? Can he be anything but Omega Hua Yong around Sheng ?
