Ok, it's getting interesting. The storyline is overused but the acting is good.
We know it's all a misunderstanding and we'll get JinHwan's pov soon to clear his name lol. I bet he was chasing MinJun at that time, even before talking to him. And was even asking for advices from his suspicious bestfriend.
We can also guess that MinJun broke up with JinHwan and left town soon after, without letting him explain anything... I hate korean dramas misunderstanding!

Yeah, imo Mond doesn't fit the character. He's not threatening enough, mad enough. Looks like a kid playing villain.

Finally what we signed up for. Ep5 was excellent. Heesu came back to himself (annoying dork) and we get to know more about Seung Won. They're so good together. I also love that Seung Won has two moms, it's quite fresh for a Kbl.

And that's normal. That's a lakorn for you. Cringe delicacy 🤣. Did you watch To Sir With Love ? It's a lakorn by the same director. Cringe galore but so good.

The series was cute and funny but New's directing is always a letdown. I can't say I'll watch it again. I just need someone to make an edit of FaiWine whole storyline.

Is it me or ep1 and 2 are cohesive but 3 and 4 seem to be written by someone else ? HeeSu and ChanYoung barely interacted. ChanYoung dropped him so quick because of a girl and doesn't even confide in him. Are they even friends ?
ChanYoung tennis saga is told in such a boring way and his romance with Ji Yu came out of nowehere, and was too quick.
HeeSu is running circles around ChanYoung and we don't see SeungWon enough. Their characters haven't progressed one bit in 4 episodes, while ChanYoung & Ji Yu developed too fast. Feels like the prod wasn't brave enough to make a full BL series so they made the straight couple more prominent in order to appeal to more viewers.

You completely invalidated your pov with this sentence. I've been on this page since ep 1 and at no point people said they wanted a quick and smutty storyline. Where the hell did you get that idea ?
Viewers are only asking more screentime for the main pairing (together and separately) so we can see the characters and the romance progress properly.
I'll never understand people that use dishonest arguments and holier-than-thou attitude to make their opinion worthy...

That's my opinion. That's non-debatable really. Let's agree to disagree.

I don't care about the novel. I'm watching the series and judging it for what it is. Sometimes the personality traits and actions of a novel character don't translate well on screen. It's the director's job to decide if said actions will be tone down or amplified in order to make a good viewing experience. It's also the director's job to see if the actors portrayal is good enough. Here, imo, it's not the case and many viewers have made the same comment.
I usually like Gawin (especially in Not Me and Dark Blue Kiss) but I don't think his performance is good here.
In comparison, in P10L, Santa plays Gun, a childhish and over-excited character. It doesn't bother me, and I even like Gun cause Santa's acting feels natural, organic; I don't see him acting.

Arf, I can't with Gawin's acting. He has a tendency to pout and I've never liked that but in MGD he's overdoing it! So annoying. Also, he's trying too hard with the comedy : his body language and faciale expression are quite cringe.
I'm pleasantly surprised with Joss, cause I've never seen his series. I thought he would be the one dragging the series down but he's doing better than Gawin.

ForceBook is the weakest storyline of the 3. You can skip it. PerthSanta are cute and JuniorMark are the best imo.

My friend, welcome to the club! JuniorMark are so lovely! I'm obsessed with them. The acting and skinship are so sweet and natural. And FaiWine is now one of my favorite couples. The characters are perfect individually and together.

I like the characters and I laughed 1 time or 2 but overall the plot and directing aren't engaging enough.

The series isn't going to win any award for sure but to say the couples dynamics are the same ? How ? Please, elaborate.

Anti-Reset has better actors, but both series plot and execution are mediocre.

Imo, he's not a bad actor. He just doesn't emote as much as other actors. That's ok cause dialogues don't have to always be dramatic . Mark acting is fine on most scenes but can be mild in intense scenes. He'll have to get more challenging roles to improve this part.

That's the whole point of their story. They're not in love right now. They're attracted to each other, they're going to enter a fake relationship in order to heal (Wine has internalized homophobia and needs to learn it's ok to date a man, Fai because he wants to be loved, he wants someone to care for him). They're both looking for something in each other. They will fall in love progressively (though Fai has been crushing on Wine since last year).

To me, Fai has genuine feelings. He's been crushing on Wine from the start but he doesn't know it yet.

I'll tell you something personal : I'm pansexual, my brother is bi. It took him years before telling me because he was afraid I would judge him and hate him. Me, of all the people ! I was like, bro, are you serious ?!
As I said, it doesn't make sense. Fear and insecurities make people irrational.
