Tharn is right about what exactly? Complaints are not even about their love relationship but about the lack of action from Tharn, his refusal to trust his colleague, and past lover. We're not asking them to get together, we're not asking Tharn to confess his feelings for Phaya. We're disappointed cause he's being irrational and hypocrite.

Unpopular opinion surely but the more I watch this series the less I'm loving it. I don't like the narrative choices (too much comedy while the plot barely moves forward, pacing issues and characters acting quite dumb to create drama). The first 3 episodes were excellent but now I feel like I'm watching a different series.
I feel a disconnect between the importance of the mythology introduced, how it will impact negatively on the characters and how said characters behaved these past episodes. I mean, we've been told that Phaya & Tharn lives are at stake, the monk told them to protect each other, he also said that Phaya & Dr Long Face shouldn't meet. Yet, Tharn & Phaya aren't working together to solve the "mystery" and prevent bad omen. They don't really talk about important stuff. Phaya is searching for the truth, he's moving the story forward. Tharn? He's stagnant. What is he doing expect lying to everyone about his feelings (and swimming in his cute red speedo) ? It's one thing to deny his feelings for Phaya but why does he refuse to listen to him? To put some faith in him as Phaya does to him? Last episode they agreed to trust each other... Phaya was clearly in distress in the parking lot. They've been working as a team for a year now. Shouldn't Tharn know that Phaya was acting like this for a good reason? I really liked Tharn at first. I found him charming, shy and smart but now he's starting to piss me off.

Another thing that bothers me is the time wasted on unecessary comedy. I usually like it but here I find it quite annoying because the plot is progressing slowly, the intrigue is complicated and interesting, but the characters are having small talk about whatever. I didn't care about Khem & Tong's romance, not now and surely not presented this way. I didn't care about the guys teasing Tharn for the umpteenth time. I didn't care about Phaya & his sister talk about Dao. Don't get me wrong, those are nice scenes that add realism to the characters and make us care for them. I get it but why do I feel they act as fillers to stretch a storyline to the 12 episodes mark?

Anyway, rant is over. I'm not saying the series is bad. It is good and a game changer in BL. But I guess I have a hard time reconciling the high expectations I had after the first episodes with what I'm watching right now.

Zee was wearing his hair in bangs, right? So it's Real Zee (Sprite has "curtains" hair). Also, he barely acknowledged his team members when they told him he was playing better.

I think he was surprised and jealous that Zee was playing better, as his past self (obviously it was Real Zee). And after that he ignored him. I was a bit disappointed with First so I didn't care when Real Zee gave him the cold shoulder.

Please rewatch from ep 1. It has been shown since the start that Way is mind controlling Babe. He's been doing that for years. I'm baffled some viewers still doesn't get it.

What did you want him to say ? "I'm sorry, please don't be upset"? Would that resolve the issue? Would that help Way in anyway? Sometimes you have to let people deal with their feelings on their own.

I don't blame Babe cause what you wrote here "both Babe and Way have been leaning on each other and relying on one another for emotional support," IS what friendship is about. It's normal. What's not ok is to fall for your friend and not say anyting for years, and express anger when your friend gets a boyfriend.
It would have been wonderful if Babe had adressed the situation but it's not something everyone can do (I mean who wants to have this kind of conversation?). As you said it's easier to think your friend will eventually understand that you're not meant to be (cause you know, you've been fucking everyone but him and told him continuously that you're bestfriends forever...). I dont think it's necessary to divide the blame when it's clearly one character's actions ruining the friendship.
As for your question, we can see in next week trailer that Way is going to manipulate Babe...again...

Exactly! Your last sentence is on point. The whole situation doesn't make him look good. When you have an unrequited love, either you deal with your feelings on your own (it might be good to put some distance between you and your friend) or you confess and wait to see the outcome. But you don't get to play the victim when you're the one who changed the terms of the friendship and manipulated your crush so he'll stay by your side.

Not people blaming Babe for Way’s feelings…I see that his reaction didn’t ring a bell to many viewers… Nice Guy rhetoric anyone ?
By not declaring his feelings for years, Way changed their friendship dynamics : he was acting as a friend while waiting for Babe to reciprocate. He followed him through the years, offered emotional support (maybe financial too?) as friends do. Yet, today he finally expressed his feelings in a way that’s not acceptable. Acting jealous because Babe doesn’t love him is wild. Saying that he did this or that for him all these years isn’t a valid argument because for one he wasn’t asked to do shit and two Babe doesn’t have to love him back. That’s not how it works. He helped Babe as a friend, he assumed the friend role and acted accordingly for years. He saw him fucked his way through the city (and last time he even wanted to help him get fuck buddies). I mean, the guy actively contributed to his own misery !

But I’ve been reading that Babe should have told Way he’s aware of his feelings and should have rejected him sooner…Like how ? Who does that ? Babe isn’t responsible for Way’s feelings. If Way had confessed Babe would have rejected him but Way didn’t and was always acting fine with Babe being promiscious. Why would Babe bring up the topic ? Truth is he’s been telling Way time and time again that they’re bestfriend. The message was clear enough but Way wasn’t listening.

Saying Babe took advantage of Way’s feelings is once again trying to excuse what’s not defendable. As friends, you support each other, count on each other with no ulterior motive. I doubt that Babe used Way in any manner to benefit him. The show doesn’t even imply it but some are quick to imagine a new narrative… Should he have broken the friendship and stay alone ? Come on, the guy has no other friend. And who says Way would have let him go ? A friendly reminder that Way has been mind controlling him for years, so who says Babe would have been free to go ? Way almost manipulated him during the conversation !
Shifting the blame on Babe is akin to blaming the girl who doesn’t like the Nice Guy : « I’ve always been there for her, I was so nice to her and did so many things for her but of course she doesn’t see my efforts, she prefers Chad. What a bitch… »

This episode had me giggling and kicking my feet in the air. I ate and it was delicious. An overdose of sugar before next week turmoil.

My comment was about his personality: he's a nice guy, he's a cutie AND a liar. Those are not mutually exclusive. People are expecting him to shade this innocent act and be a more manly/restrained alpha once his plan comes out but I don't believe he will act differently. Nothing so far indicates he's the common alpha we're used to. I think people would appreciate Charlie and CharlieBabe's relationship if they stop expecting the usual tropes and just focus on the actual narrative and uniqueness of the story.
I'm not worried about Babe's feelings once he finds out Charlie's plan cause despite the lies, Charlie really loves him. So Babe will understand why Charlie did it and he'll forgive him.

Why are people assuming Charlie is acting fake? This is the recurring criticism I've seen. We know he's lying to Babe, we know he approached him with an hidden agenda. But at no point in the series was it implied that Charlie is playing a role. There is this preconceived notion that since he's lying to Babe he must be wearing a mask, acting as someone he's not. Thinking like this is disregarding the many scenes showing us who he is: continously worried for Babe, doing act of love while Babe's sleeping (stroking his hair, kissing his hand, giving him a sponge bath...). There's no point for Charlie to do all this just to deceive him.
Some people say he's acting different with other characters. Well, obviously, Charlie isn't going to act cute when he's with Jeff cause he doesn't like Jeff, he's not fucking him... He wasn't going to be all sweet to Way when the guy cornered him in a previous episode. Come on, the boy is a bit naive and cute but not dumb.
Charlie acting overly cute with Babe is like a game between them, he's a tease. He does it to make Babe laugh cause our main guy takes things too seriously. I don't read into it as him being fake. It is just their relationship dynamics. Maybe that makes him a less interesting character for some fans but it doesn't mean the character is badly written.

Yes. I was like wtf, this came out of nowhere, there's no build up, no emotions. Hopefully next week NC scene will be perfect.
