Agree but I suppose they just became friends at the start of university. That's usually how it happens: you're in the same classroom, you do group projects together and voilà, you have a bunch of friends you don't really care about but as a narcissist you live for the interactions and to be the center of attention. So you tolerate them, you act as a friend while subtly undermining their ego and reminding them you're the real deal.
Friends who stay with people like Boston either don't see it cause they're not their victims or they witness it but don't want to rock the boat, thus enabling them.

Lol, yesterday I watched a chinese short GL movie on Youtube. It was cute until the end when the girls discovered they were sisters. It came out from nowhere, I was so pissed lol. So yeah, I'm ready for anything.

I'm ready for Boston's pov. I don't expect nor do I want an excuse to explain his behaviour cause let's be real, bitches and toxic people aren't always product of past traumas. I just want to see his thought-process : does he regard his friends as such? Does he really like to be a slut or is he trying to fill a void or prove something? Is he an opportunistic bitch or is he a true vilain scheming non stop in his photo lab?

I'm really curious cause the way he trashed the party was crazy: he reeled Sand in by saying Ray was a catch and almost made him confess, while giving Ray a false sense of security and peer support. And then boom he went for the kill. This guy is dangerous.

It was too good to be true. I knew it was over when I saw Boston looking at SandRay with disgust. He's such a jealous and bitter bitch!! He's so eaten by his inner demons he can't let people (his friends!) be happy. That's fucked up.
Isn't strange how Boston insists that MewRay had sex? What does he know that we don't? Is he delusional or...

Imo this is the best episode so far. SandRay's narration and aesthetic are just so good. I love that they took time to flesh these characters and their relationship out. They made sure we're 100% invested so we're going to cry buckets when the shit hits the fan.

This series is so different from the OG, it's dishonest to compare them.
I'm staying for the first couple, JiOh & YiWon. They're funny and cute. Lee Yee Wan is really good at playing the puppy love (and I love his face).

The episode was all over the place with the timeline. The makeup and filters are bad. And the characters haven't mature a bit over the years (Diao is still acting like a kid and not communicating properly). Why Domundi keeps making dumb decisions?!

I agree but I don't think he doesn't care. He just doesn't know how to emote. In ABAAB, he overacted and some people found it cute and fitting for the character but imo you don't have to overacted to portray a happy/dumb/no filter character. You need to bring some nuance right?
In Enchanté he had to play the nice but blasé guy but he came off as bland and boring .
In OF, when Khao kissed him in the bedroom, he didn't give enough emotion. He should have been shocked, angry and disappointed. But I only got frustration (?)

Yep, I agree about Mew. At first I didn't get him but after ep4 I'm liking him. I think people are giving him too much credit calling him manipulative. I think he's just the normal character, the moral compass in this group of fucked up individuals. In storytelling, you have one character to ground the story in "reality" and says what viewers are thinking.
In Only friends we have the Alcoholic, the Narcissist whore, the Fuck boy, the Obsessive lover... Mew is the Nice guy. And that's ok, he doesn't need to be more.

JamFilm's chemistry is great but you can tell they're two straight men playing gay characters : their lower parts are not even touching when they hug. That's something I care about cause it shows the actors are 100% comfortable with each other and fully committed to the roles (see BillySeng from SCOY and War of Y).
Overall, it was a nice series though it was rushed. It should have been 10 episodes.

Tbh I only care about SandRay. I want them to be endgame but I mostly want Sand to survive even if it means without Ray.

I don't know if Mew is playing a game but I really liked him in this episode. I love what he said to Ray (about consent) and Top (the drug part). I don't want him to be hurt by Top.

Ray? I was disappointed in him today. I didn't think he would kiss Mew and reaffirm his feelings for him after meeting Sand and having this massive crush on him. The record shop scene was a good: Ray needs to let go of the past, he needs to live in the present and open his mind and heart to new things (Sand).

Nick. Still not feeling sorry for him. I know love can make you crazy but when several people warn you about someone you better listen, otherwise you're playing a loosing game, and I'm not sorry for this kind of masochist act.

I love that there's no pretense between TinnCharn. From the start they knew they were attracted to each other, they expressed their interest and flirted until they finally had sex. After that, they acted like boyfriends and talked about their feelings. No one is acting shy, there's no awkwardness, no fake misunderstanding about the nature of their relationship. This is how I expect adults to act in a BL. This is refreshing.

Yes and because somehow people always side with the one having the unrequited love/crush. Look at how people hated Kai in Theory of Love even though the guy wasn't even aware of Third's crush on him and never hurt him intentionally.

Am I a bad person for not caring about Nick? I don't like the sad act when he's not Ton's bf. He's not even his soon-to-be bf: they don't have a relationship like TopMew where Top is courting Mew and he's just waiting for him to acknowledge they're together.
Nick is nothing to Boston and he was warned several times by Boston himself, who promised him nothing. So while I agree Boston is a snake, in this case he's not lying to Nick nor is he manipulating him.
So the whole stalker thing? It's not cute. Nick isn't a victim here. He's been a red flag from the start tbh. Objectively, he has no right to get back at Boston. But for the sake of drama and because I hate Boston, I do want him to expose Ton's real face to the gang :-)

You all wondering why Boston is chasing Top, why someone like him is so interested in Top. But what if he doesn't like Top and has another motive? I can't help thinking he's in fact interested in Mew. Cause the things he does are intended to hurt Mew. He's willing to destroy the gang to make a point: "he's better than Mew". Boston is like a sociopath, so what if he's trying to hurt Mew cause he can't have him? This might be the series big twist.

Can we even call him a friend? He obviously dislike his "friends" and don't respect them. He's willing to destroy the whole gang just for dick. He's not their friend.

Well, Top is dumb af. Why would he believe a snake like Ton who's told him several times he wants his dick?! Why would he care about a 2yo video?! Top is clearly led by his dick and can't change his habits.

I love Ray but the game he's playing with Sand is pissing me of. He's pursuing him knowing his heart isn't available. What does he think is going to happen? Of course Sand is going to fall for him and get hurt.

As for Nick, I'm not sorry he's getting hurt cause he knew the rules from the start. I believe that when you stay in a hurtful situation, knowing you're going to loose, you're also at fault. Boston is a real bitch but he never promised him something real.
Tbh I don't get why Nick is into Boston. They've been fucking for less than 3 months but apart from their sex scenes we didn't really get to see them bond nicely like SandRay or even TopMew. Imo the series failed to show us why Nick likes Ton so much. His beaviour is more obsessive than anything else.
