No, I dont' equate fluffy/sweet with childish. You can have a sweet/fluffy storyline with mature characters. You can also have adults acting sometimes cutely but you still see them as mature cause throughout the series they react to situations in a mature way. For example, Seo Joon from TMS sometimes acts like a kid (being super cute, pouty and clingy) and with Ji Woo they're sweet. Yet, I've never thought of him as childish. Cherry Magic and Boys' Lockdown are sweet series but I've never questioned the MCs ages and behaviors.
And then you have characters like Woo Seung Hyun, who, to me, is like a kid in a grown man body. I feel like I'm watching the typical FL in chinese dramas who is 25/30 but behave like a 15yo.

I agree, especially when the MCs are adults such as in this series. I mean, it's quite understandable to expect the MCs to act like adults and not schoolboys... And I'm not talking about skinship cause series like Semantic Error or TMS are very popular despite being very tame.
On the contrary, we appreciate/tolerate cute and fluff when the MCs are in highschool or university. For example, MDL members love My School President and I Will Knock You.

I'm sad for Thi but somehow this heartbreak could be a good thing. I mean, until now he's been burying his head in the sand and acting like he's just putting up with Noey's antics. I'm not judging him, in fact I totally understand him cause a 21yo guy being courted by 17yo gangster? That IS crazy. Now is the time for him to think, to understand that he's hurt because he does have real feelings for Noey, and that he needs to express them.

I dropped MSP after the first 2 episodes cause it was so childish and cliché. But after seeing everyone and their mothers praising the series I decided to try again. Glad I did cause while the series is still cliché and without surprise, it is done in such a funny and engaging way I can't help liking it.
I like the couple especially Fourth (I love his smile!) and I appreciate how they communicate and support each other.
That being said, the storyline could have been wrapped in 8 episodes and I still don't get all the hype (all the praise gives me 2gether flashbacks...). Though I agree it's one of the best GMMtv bls.

I agree. MSP is really nice but it could have been done in 8 episodes. I'm getting a bit bored knowing we still have 4 episodes to go.

I'm all for cute and fluffy but there's a fine line before stepping into childish territory... I thought the story was going to be mature but Seung Hyun's schoolboy behaviour "mars" the whole dymanics. I mean, it's cute in small doses but during every encounter? Cringe.

I guess there's not much to tell if they used 4 episodes for nothing... Except 2 interesting flashbacks that explained the friendship' dynamics, the rest was a repetition of the same boring stuff.
I don't like the writer. I'm supposed to feel sorry for him cause of his unrequited love but I don't. Imo if you never confess to your crush you only have yourself to blame. Why act like your crush offended you when they didn't know about your feelings? And even if you muster the courage to confess, does your crush owe you something? Must they love you back? You're so hurt to the point of disappearing and acting this cold and immature when you meet again years later?
Also, I'm not a fan of the silent, moody and passive aggressive character. For 4 episodes SWJ did nothing but pout, sigh and close the door on HYW's face. If he didn't want HYW there, he should have been civil to him and explained he doesn't want to work with him. Done.
I found this whole storyline quite dumb. It gives me TMS2 vibes and it's not a compliment.

Japanese actors are known for overacting, most of them do. Here we have 2 guys acting normally/calmly but now it's an issue for some viewers ?! I really don't get it.

Also, why an idol? Can he be a "normal" singer? With Lian, he has enough money and connexion to establish himself and have a private life like any other singer. Once again, they're adding drama for no reason.

I agree with everything but this "Only a straight screenwriter could come up with such an absurd leap of logic." -> I know some gay men who want a typical beautiful wedding (flowers, centerpieces, groomsmen...). And I know many straight couples who just went to court to sign the paper cause they couldn't care less about a big wedding. Why apply dreams and wants to a sexual orientation?
Maybe the series' message is "gays can have a big wedding like anyone else, they don't have to settle for small and private ceremony, they can do what they want"?

I don't get the comments about the acting. The acting is good, nothing spectacular but certainly not bad. The guys are playing two introverted characters so what kind of acting you're expecting?

Thank you for your input. I don't read korean webtoons (straight or bl) so I didn't know. I believe screenwriters should know when to improve the source material because what works in a book don't always translate well in a series/movie. Imo, a lot of kbls could have been better if they had put more work into the script and less money in the production quality...

Yeah I think Noey is 16 and Thi 18/19.
