She backed off immediately when she knew that the other girl liked him too. Her life is as complicated as they come, there is no need to make it even more complicated after making wrong decisions in love. She wanted at least one person she could be peaceful with. It was the SML. Now after episode 6, I am literally as frustrated as her too :,(

I think in the real timeline he is dead because based on the fact that he ends up with the female lead and they marry i don't think that can happen with him coming back. Possibly we see him during the adulthood till marriage in this new timeline
