I'm thinking of starting a petition on MDL.Every drama on MDL that has a Hallyu star needs to be rated minimum…

I guess the director knew that better than us ahaha no wonder he personally casted him and did the shooting around…
About 2d1n, it might genuinely be because he grew so much as a person and they become like a warm family, no wonder he doesn't want to leave it (apart from the public pressure he is getting for not leaving it).
I know that actors in Korea don't generally have it as bad as the idols in regards to saesang fans so I wish him the best.
By the way, Strongest Deliveryman had 4 main leads, not like in StartUp, so he was in fact directly casted as the main lead in an audition for a supporting role, and not the second lead. It wasn't like in StartUp where all that mattered were DM and DS.
I enjoyed the conversation :)

his previous directors were also so impressed with his acting that even if we would go to auditition for a much lower role, he would get the lead, so he seems to have always a way to impress PDs he works with in general. Now all he can hope for is that he picks well.
He will just have to set his priorities straight really. But I can sense that like the actor of Stranger, he will always put theatre first. He clearly isn't the type that cares about fame, otherwise he wouldn't debut on TV just because of his parents only in his 30s. He will be happier doing what he wants to do and less stressed too I guess :) Fame brings more stress than simply doing what you want even though the result is not being on screen all the time

The funny thing is that the writer took a masterpiece (a really good story) as Cyrano and tried to add a kdrama…
Very good point. That partially explains why no matter what technically evil character, we keep empathising with him

This drama made characters like DM, JP and Grandma unrealistic. How could grandma keep the lie for 15 years, WHY…
So true, she was so badly written that even if I always disliked Suzy's acting, I would still put effort to watch her dramas and hope that this time it was better. But after DM, I am traumatized.

yes although I would like to add that I think his lines were basic to some degree but the way he delivered, the direction and that (uselessly beautiful) music score (I am still salty it even exists. It's sin to give one to the couple who is not the main couple and to nobody else lol) made it shine.
This would have been some well written confession if it's conseqeunces made sense, in the sense that the confession would not have happened because he was talking about DS and how much DS treasures DM but then DM suddently asks him about the noodles among all the possible things in the universe she could have asked about, putting him against the wall. That gesture only makes sense if DM didn't care hearing about DS from JP and was only interested about JP's feelings for her. That would have justified her question and the whole confession. But once you figure ending the writer wanted, the whole confession becomes pointless and out of place so the only thing making it shine is KSH's ad-libs and his delivery. He mentions in the intview that he thought about that scene a lot and about how to not make DM burdened and uncomfortable

You got me here. I stopped watching romance dramas for two years because I didn’t find them interesting anymore.…
I think it might be a matter of being typecasted as you pointed out and the fact that because of his good looks he is given a romance plot line everywhere he goes even though his script didn't require it and as a consequence even in the roles in which he is not supposed to show us his soft side, we still end up seeing it around the women he is linked with

I liked him the most is Good Manager and Two Cops, funnily enough, more in the roles in which he didn't have a romace plotline but that's surely always true that you see an actor in his best when playing a charcter with more complexity :)

I don't get it why people like KSH. I watched him in 3 dramas he's acting and looks same in all 3 drama. I like…
It's personal preference to like or dislike an actor but comparing KSH who is well known for his acting range and skills to NJH is a bit unfair to NJH even if your argument is in favour of NJH because clearly there is a difference of a whole class of acting here. I saw KSH as a nerdy clerk, a painter, a swindler, a cop, a composer, a chaebol, a scholar and an investor before he beame famous and they were all portrayed so differently that I couldn't even remember they were the same actor playing it when I saw him as HJP. But his playes are even more veried than his dramas. KSH doesn't try to act different roles, he is those roles.
Perhans you are referring to the fact that he was a good boy inside or becomes one eventually in the roles you watched, and I respect your opinion. I was just giving mine :)

I've never hated any kdrama character as much as DS. He almost feels like a villain lol
the worse part of this drama is that it felt to many that the almost villain won and the hero lost and nobody knows why ahahaha
