How I met Asian Drama

So, How I met Asian drama. I guess I should from the very beginning. It all started when I was in middle school 8th grade to be exact. I was already into anime and manga when I was in the 4th grade. But currently stop watching anime because of the slow internet plan I was using, and I thought I should socialize with actual people at the time. However, I was not completely withdrawn from anime because the cable TV had a channel just dedicated to anime called Animax. Anyways, I was going through 8th grade and there was this transfer student that newly enrolled to my homeroom class. He was a Korean transfer student. And to perform class each student must possess a laptop, which all the students did even the Korean transfer student. Semesters go by and on I went to the 9th grade at 2009. The Korean transfer student and I had become friends had his laptop broken. So, he thought it would have been a great idea if I had shared my laptop with him until he would move back to Korea in 2012. It did not turn out to be a good idea at all. It was annoying. But any how that transfer student got better at asking other students to borrow their laptops. And during those time where he did not borrow my laptop, we played Counter Strike with everyone else who had free time. And as we played the transfer student had asked me if I wanted any free movie DVDs because he needed to get rid of them for the new movies to come through the year 2009. So, one of the movies he had given me was My girlfriend is an agent. It was funny, and I learned what Korean people and culture was like. But what I truly admired was the action scenes. There were different from the Hollywood movies that I normally watch. I think the way I described it was realistic. Also, I did not need to worry about the translation because English Subtitles was available. Then the year 2010 came and I was in the 10th grade and the transfer student unceasingly asked on borrowing my laptop as well as everyone else’s laptop. And the transfer student had uploaded another Korean movie in my laptop called Man from Nowhere. I watched it too, but it took a while for me getting to watching the movie because there was no English Subtitles and had to learn how to add subtitles. But when I watched it, I felt like there was something pressing heavily on my chest because of the blood, gore and what the villains was doing to these children and So-mi’s mom. From that moment on I was watching a lot of Korean movies and restarted watching anime from 2010-2012. Like Secret Reunion, Hindsight, A Better Tomorrow, and All About My Wife. Once the transfer student left at 2012. I thought hey there are anime movies and anime TV shows. So, I was wondering why I do not watch Korean TV Shows since I already watching Korean movies. And through torrent I watched City Hunter and My girlfriend is a Gumiho. After I had graduated in 2012, I had moved to the States and never picked up watching Korean drama or movies until it is 2016. But I watched a ton of Chinese movies from 2012-2015. Mostly a lot of Kung Fu movies. Starting from 2016 I felt like the Korean TV shows are better than the movies because there is a lot more time the characters can work with rather than a 2 hour restraint. As from the complete list you can see in MyDramaList portfolio are all the Korean dramas I have watched from 2016-2020 though I did include the two drama that I had seen in 2012. I was not sure If I should include the movies because I thought hey, I could count the number of dramas I had seen from 2009-2020. Maybe I should only include the dramas and not the movies. There was this other thing I had noticed as the years went by. It is that there are a lot of remakes like the Korean movie Hide and Seek and the Chinese Hide and seek. And there are movies that are remade into drama like the sorcerer and the White Snake movie and the Legend of the white snake.
