Wow wow wow this drama completely took me by surprise, I never expected a drama I randomly started watching at 9 pm on a Friday night to completely take over my heart. Everything about this is amazing, the leads have ELECTRIFYING chemistry. You can feel every bit of hurt, sadness, angst, and happiness they portray through the screen. This story is paced really well, even the reunion arc where they weren't on good terms didn't drag on for too long. This one will stick with me for a while, and quietly made its way to my all time favorite dramas list. Honestly what sells this for me so well is the casting of the 2 leads, they made an already good drama so much more amazing because of their portrayal of the characters. Their acting felt so natural it felt like I was watching a real couple and not some characters, it's some of the best chemistry I've seen in a cdrama and I mean that genuinely. Everything felt so real and not forced.my favorite scenes: their first dance in episode 7, the heartbreaking series of back to back phone calls after the breakup, the reunion scene where the female lead shows up with a new look (no bangs) and where the male lead looks absolutely heartbroken, and the make up scene in episode 26 *whew that one was steamy*!!!

didn’t live up to its potential
This drama started out strong but continuously fell off the longer it went on, it took me a month to work up the courage to watch the final episode which is very telling. The chemistry between leads was there but also was a bit lacking if you compare it to some other recent watches for me, I did not care for the relationship between the 2 side characters and to put it frankly I feel like it was an unnecessary addition to the plot. If I say the chemistry between the leads was lacking then the chemistry between the second lead couple was completely nonexistent. Overall: first half of the drama is good and then it just gets boring. For me it was too plot driven and the romance almost took a back seat especially in the later episodes, which is fine if that’s what you like but I went into this mainly for the romance so it wasn’t for me.Was this review helpful to you?
cute lighthearted drama
This was a nice lighthearted drama that I enjoyed watching to unwind at night before bed, episodes are only 20 minutes long so it’s easy to quickly binge through. If you are expecting high quality budget this drama might not be for you, the dubbing is absolutely terrible and the music selection is quite bad but I learned to ignore that issue as I continued watching (with the dubbing if you read subtitles and don’t focus on their lips as much it’s not as bad). I do wish the leads had a bit more development, boy was pretty much a jerk to her up until the final couple episodes and then he suddenly did a 180. The ending felt rushed and lackluster, I feel like they could have maybe added 5 or so more episodes to wrap everything up. Still enjoyable though with strong rewatch value! I won’t be watching season 3 as I don’t agree with the entire change of cast so this is where the drama ends for me.Was this review helpful to you?
solid youth drama
This drama starts out super strong, their high school years are some peak cdrama material if you are into youth dramas. The story starts slowing down around episode 20 and I found myself not as motivated to watch as I was in earlier episodes which ended up taking me quite a while to finish this one but it’s still very enjoyable. The chemistry between the main leads is a highlight and I love how there was no third act breakup that a lot of dramas tend to have. I like how the main lead was the greenest flag and they started out as best friends and slowly fell in love over the years. I think this show could have been perfectly fine with only 24 episodes rather than 30, I was not too invested in the side romances.Was this review helpful to you?
it wasn’t for me
Despite the promising plot this drama just didn’t do it for me, maybe I grew out of the aggressive and borderline possessive male lead trope. I feel like the relationship between the main leads had no development and was more of a sexual attachment than love, I will give it to the main actors who did have the chemistry but chemistry can only get you so far when the storyline is lacking. This may be other people’s cup of tea but it wasn’t mine, it’s like they were trying to do a high school version of 50 shades of grey but make it a bit more PG and failed miserably.Was this review helpful to you?
a very cute and wholesome drama
This is a wonderful and cute drama that is easy to binge due to it only having 10 episodes! I loved the chemistry between the main leads, there are some slow bits here and there which is why the rating dropped a bit but overall I recommend it. Maybe far fetched but I’d love a spinoff with her oldest younger brother maybe set in a couple years when he’s older, I grew to love him a lot! If you’re looking for something quick and easy that doesn’t have much drama apart from the ending episodes with his disapproving mother I recommend this drama, I loved the domestic vibes it had because the main leads lived together throughout most of the drama. It’s just super comforting and wholesome and I can see myself rewatching in the future.Overall rating: 9.4/10

I dropped this at episode 20, I completely lost all motivation to continue it. the chemistry was just not there for me, yes the female lead was strong willed but to me she got totally bland once they began dating, pacing felt off. I won’t lie the part that had me most interested was whether or not his uncle would survive and what was the deal with the kid his uncle took in, those few episodes were peak. The romance was completely lacking, even when they were dating it felt like I was watching best friends rather than a couple, hardly any romance scenes at all except hugs here and there to remind us “hey, they’re dating”. once the college years hit everything just got so boring and once I feel like I’m forcing myself to watch new episodes that’s when I know it’s time to drop.Was this review helpful to you?

I really enjoyed this story and all the characters, there wasn’t a character in this story that I didn’t like, from the main leads to their friends and even the coaches, even the villains played their parts well. I am usually iffy about longer dramas (they tend to get boring after the 20 episode mark) but this one was so entertaining all the way through! maybe an unpopular opinion (I love me some angst what can I say) but I actually enjoyed the breakup plot, it added a layer of drama that would have made the latter half of the show less enjoyable had it not happened. the main couple came back stronger than ever after the breakup and that’s what matters. I really love the sports aspect of this drama, despite being in a relationship the main leads never gave up on their dreams. the storyline with the second lead and his anxiety was also well written, definitely a topic that I wish was more normalized in Asian dramas. overall I enjoyed it, I would recommend! first 30 or episodes are a 10/10 and overall the show is a 9.5/10 as there were some slow parts in the last 10 episodes.Was this review helpful to you?
fav youth cdrama of all time
This drama is absolute perfection. From the first episode I was HOOKED, the storyline and pacing are amazing. Male lead is a total golden retriever energy, zero coldness to the female lead. I love that they went from somewhat enemies, to friends, to lovers. this is slow burn done right, throughout their high school years despite them not dating I still felt all the fluff and butterflies I’d feel watching them as a couple. The buildup to their relationship after they went to college is truly incredible, totally worth waiting 19 episodes for them to become a couple! I could gush about this drama forever bc it’s just so good and I’ve yet to find another drama to compare, I’ve actually dropped a few recently and just rewatched our secret instead.Was this review helpful to you?
