after watching up to ep 12, i believe this is not pure wuxia, but i dont know if this is Xuanhuan or Xianxia, sometimes its hard to distinguish these two genres, and people have different interpretation for the meaning, they usually only copy paste link of other websites ^^

For Drama 2022, sorry can't help, havent finished watch it yet.

there is so much different between novel and this 2022 adaptation, but the change is acceptable, and some parts are better in adaptation.

Top 5 differences for me are:

1. Yuan ziyi and her teacher are from Tianshan sect, in novel they are a member of Emei sect that live in xinjiang.
2. Yuan Ziyi's martial sister not showed up in novel
3. Cheng Lingsu got a strange disease since child , and need medicine if she went out of valley, the novel doesnt have this
4. Miao Ruolan first appearance in adaptation was still baby or not born yet when in shang manor, in novel, she was 2 years old.
5. Xiao Mei and Bai Xiao Shen Ni nun showed up many times in adaptation compare to novel (only once)

Xiao Mei appeared only once in the novel, in Shang Manor story, she is older than Miao Ruolan, coz at that time MRL only 2 years old. I read the first editon of novel, so i hope none of that part is revised by jin yong

with this high quality and deep wuxia aura, they should release season 2, starring adult Xiao Mei and teenager Miao Ruolan, and triangle love to main protagonist, and story is set at Flying Fox Snowy Mountain era. Would be awesome.

if the stories of book 6-8 are about Marquis Zhuge and his 4 main disciples. Then i think it's more into "The Four Constables series" over "Heroes" to me. Just my 2 cents.
