Seems like there hasn’t been a great HIStory series in a long time. This one is okay. I’m surprised it’s 20 episodes long. I got nothing else to watch while waiting for some of the gay Thai series to release new episodes so watching this series. After two episodes, I think the actors are cute, but the story could be better.

I think she didn’t care about them being gay, she was just worried about the school reputation. But the whole school and you only see three teachers. I didn’t understand that. I know they were focusing on one of the characters, but it seems the one teacher was in charge of everything.

Binge watched the whole series last night. There are some stuff that make no sense (like most Thai series). I thought the were in college with the school name, but they’re actually in middle or high school. A bit confusing. Kind of young to be going through all this sex subjects? And as some of you mentioned, what’s going on with the short shorts? Overall, a cute gay series. It kinds of get away and become a different series at the end like Elite from Netflix. Still trying to figure out what was that dead body in the first episode? Never really explained.

I’m surprised they paired two guys from the same band in this series. I thought at first they were from different band. Must be easy to film together though if they are friends. Like all the Korean bromance/gay series, the guys have on so much freaking makeup. They look like a ghost. Asian folks need to lay off a bit of makeup.

Love this series so far. The two leads are looking good together.

Just ran into this series. First episode is great. I’m glad the actors aren’t wearing 5 layers of white makeup. One of the things that annoys me watching these Asian gay series: heavy white makeup that make the actors look like ghosts. Minimal works.

And they couldn’t find a “bro” for the emperor. He looks like he had mommy’s issues and could use a “friend”… :-D

This has to be the quickest 29 episodes ever. Wish it were 40 episodes. Now have to wait for Immortality and Eternal Fate.

Sounds like we need to send you to a diversity training program if you want to slap people when hearing a different language such as Thai. No such thing as a campy language. Behave yourself out there. :-)

True, but I think better something than “Bromance”. :-) About Youth was a great series. I think their gay films do a better job than series. How we, as long as they’re kissing in the end… :-D

They definitely won’t be competing with Thailand, that’s for sure.

Since China took control of HK, definitely might see less and less gay drama. Taiwan has many gay drama series and films. China’s worst nightmare… lol

Definitely sad but it’s China. Can’t fight the communist craziness. Wish Taiwan had money to make these gay Wuxia series.

Wonder why the episodes after 4 are cut down to only 30 mins. That’s 15 mins of editing. That’s a lot of time. I wish this series was longer. Only 29 episodes. I also wish each episode was a bit longer. Sometimes they jump and you know scenes were cut.

No. Seems like the rest of the episodes are about 35 mins. That’s a lot of deleted scenes. Wonder why they have to delete about 10 mins from each episodes.

Ep 1-4 were about 45 mins. So far, ep5-6 are 35 minutes. Strange.

I think they filmed this series way after the gay ban in China. You could be right though if there were something that the filming censor wanted to remove. Maybe too touchy touchy for two guys in this episode :-D

The YouTube version is 45 mins, I’m guessing 15 mins were removed from the commercials, which is 1 hour total for each episode. I haven’t watched ep6, but ep5 in the website only had about 35 mins. YouTube tencent channel hasn’t released ep5.

Love love this drama. Wonder why the online version is cut down to 35 mins while YouTube is 45. Haven’t watched ep6, but ep5 was short. Will see how long the YouTube version is for ep5 when it comes out.
