After watching this series, I feel like Shane Yan is going to be typecast as the annoying female character in all her series. Much like Sleuth of Ming Dynasty, I feel like as the series progresses, it got off track and I had to fast forward a few scenes. The two male leads are so cute together. I actually watched because of them. I thought they make the female lead a bit annoying. Of course, you know they would end up together in the end (ML and FL). Series has strong “Bromance”, and you are wondering why is there even a FL because it seems the two ML were meant to be a couple! Lol.

If you like murder mysteries, watch this series. If you can’t stand FL, just Skip through her scenes, although she pops up every time you think the two ML are going to make out. The writers really know how to “gay bait” the audience.

I wish they hadn’t made FL character so annoying. She’s good when helping to save crimes, but once she interacts with the ML, she gets under your skin. It’s the writing, not the actress. Still love this series!

I love this series. It’s another one of those Thai coming of age gay bl drama. The actings aren’t that great, but it’s just a goofy romance drama. Vachirawit Chivaaree can do better with his acting. I feel like he’s always looking constipated When it comes his acting, especially the face expression. :-D

Anyhow, a very sweet teen bl drama. My only complaint is that as the series progresses, the two leads aren’t kissing at all. The kissing would show that they are truly in love. They mostly talk for most of the episodes and a few hugs. Will be interesting to see if they share any kiss as the series comes to an end.

I love this series. I do have to say the first half was great. As you move along, it got a little bit boring. I think it should’ve been like 36 Or 40 episodes. I actually fast forwarded a lot of the last 20 episodes to get to the ending quickly because there was so much talking. Overall, great watch...lots of bromance and mystery solving. Toward the end, it became a palace drama.

The hidden “gay” undertone between the two male leads was played down by Dora’s character. I would’ve not tuned out toward the end if they kept it going quicker without all the unnecessary episodes.

This is so far my favorite series of 2020 after My Roommate is a Detective and The Sleuth of Ming Dynasty. The series is fast pace, which I love. I’m actually only at episode 17, and there’re only 26 episodes total. I hate watching long series but for Ancient Detective, I wouldn’t have mind 36 episodes.

Lots of bromance and romance, but I like that there’s no dumb silly female lead like so many other series. The chemistry between the characters and actors are great.

I recommend this series if you’re into bromance and fast pace series. It’s a murder mystery drama. Thumbs up!

Okay, I love Ashes of Love. The actors were wonderful and the action sequence was awesome. My only annoying complaint: this series could’ve been 45 episodes instead of 63. Like so many Chinese drama, the show drags on for way too long. Honestly, after episode 45, I just fast forwarded the last 18 episodes because my patience was running out lol.

I thought after the wedding scene that the rest of the story just kind of dried out. I finished the last 19 episodes in two hours by fast forwarding.

The graphics were good, actors were cute, storyline was good. But way too long. The last half was like another series in itself.

Interesting series. I kind of got the idea of who was the killer from the beginner, but it was interest to see the Why. The main leads were really good. I usually don’t watch Korean series or movies unless it’s a horror flick. This one was good. I started watching because of my GOT7 man, Jinyoung.

Series has lots of comedy and drama, plenty of tears. Jinyoung looks like he just got his wisdom teeth pulled. His chubby cheeks.

Not sure if it’s Viki but they blur out all the dead bodies and even the knife. Don’t watch much Korean series, so not sure if it’s a censor thing in Korea.

I love this drama, at least for about 15 episodes. I think at the beginning, the mystery in the train really excited me. It kept me watching and then you got the tomb. It was so exciting. However, as the series gets away from the tomb and more characters appear, it got really boring for me. This series should not have been 48 episodes. Way too long. I fast forwarded about 25 episodes.

I’m not going to lie, The only reason why I watched on was to see William Chan take off his shirt LOL. I also watched because Hanson and Zhang were so cute together in all their scenes together. William, Hanson, and Zhang kept me skipping through this series. Three cute guys and bromance, just give that to me and I’ll forward through all 48 episodes.
