Title Live Up to Your Youth Spoiler
My thoughts on Ranran’s decision.
I normally don’t write reviews, but I have thoughts on Ranran’s decision — or at least how I interpreted it.

She knows what she’s doing, and she’s doing it to keep her heart pure. Her mother borrowed money from Mr. Chu, so she repays that debt by essentially selling herself to him — and she made sure to drink enough beforehand when he confessed to her. She had also already seen for herself how people treat you differently when you have a powerful backer. She hated that feeling, so she chose to leave the entertainment circle altogether.

I personally don’t agree with her decision. But if you put everything in context, you can actually understand where she’s coming from.

What I do agree with is that the scriptwriter threw everything out the window, especially in episodes 23 and 24.

The 2018 ending was okay, but something felt off — Cao Ye’s fate was just left hanging. He wanted to turn himself in after getting scammed by other scammers, and we never got any closure on that.

All in all this drama is enjoyable enough, but if you’re looking for something that really delivers, the cdrama world has a lot more to offer.
