Quick question - do the actors here voice themselves? Because XZG voice to me seems heard already, but watching the cast I see he has different voice actors in different projects so I wonder who's actually voicing him here. XD
If it's any consolation, he broke the cycle of rebirth for himself and was reincarnated as a white fox. And the…
Thank you! What's the King of Insects? o.o
Most dramas "need" to edulcorate the endings to become likable to the majority of viewers... and sometimes I'm happy they do so... especially after so much suffering!
I think in the end TLC, aside from obtaining fulfillment by gifting happiness to all his friends, also obtained freedom because he "escaped" his destiny by letting go of the past and its chains, and by creating his way of life and his own choices, which for me also means he was serene in the end.
Question about the ending scene, but not on TLC (I thought it was pretty obvious the fact that the white fox we see is him, or rather, a new/reincarnated/another version of him) rather a detail on Xue Xian Zi (Bai Shu's character): aside from being a great martial artist, is he some kind of godlike-immortal martial hermit, given the fact that he's completely dressed in frozen white and commands ice, and is close with the 500yo divine healer? I think I lost his "presentation" through the episodes.

Thank you for these amazing, rich and deep comments: I consider myself atheist but have always been fascinated by taoism, shintoism and buddhism, so I grasped most of the meanings you touched - but your reviews directly connecting the dots helped me mentally complete the huge mosaic that this drama actually is!
i swear i have no problem with sad endings, but i found this one so tragic 😭 it made me so sad that everyone…
Scrolling the comments I see that's another problem for the rating of this drama... but somehow, when the series started and slowly step by step we got to know him and his reasons... for me, that was the only possible ending. Just like a religious parable in which a savior saves everyone giving himself as a sacrifice, but he does so willingly and happily because the joy of everyone is more important than the joy of just one...
I don't know, but to me it felt like the only possible ending - although tragic.
I think every product somehow has a "category" to which it belongs and to which it must compare - I rated…
What you say completely makes sense actually, I understand - and you named two of my favorite shows ever btw, Not Me and ITSAY are among my "best ten" series (...and I've been watching dramas since 2001...). If I had to compare them with M&T I honestly couldn't because they are so different in terms of emotions, themes, intensity... and even difficulty: M&T is a series for everyone, while those two need a bit more "focus" let's say.
Anyway, I usually don't care for ratings here anymore... like I just finished a 8.1 wuxia which would probably deserve 100 as a rating in terms of depth. XD
I think every product somehow has a "category" to which it belongs and to which it must compare - I rated this a 10 but if I had to choose between this one and other 10s in my watchlist as "the best one ever" I would probably choose another one (maybe a queer series, or a wuxia, or something more deep).... BUT this one is still a 10 for me because, as a BL romcom, it perfectly checked all the things one expects as for that kind of product and was way above most other similar shows, quality wise.
This series was genius from start to finish: thee ending cameos were the best thing I've seen in my dramalife, totally on point and in the mood!
If I could rate this 11/10 I would because, although the plot wasn't revolutionary, for me everything was just perfect: every episode was funny, intelligent, deep, heartwarming, filled with positivity and a sense of acceptance that made me want to watch more and more. (although I would have love a bit more attention to Tawan's ruckus)
PondPhuwin were perfect for their roles, and so were PerthSanta and Est and Bonnie, but no doubt that Pond was the greatest star here: he brought Thee to life in such a wild and detailed way, I will forever laugh just by only thinking about him! During the wedding proposal I didn't know if to laugh or to cry because I was moved and jolly at the same time.
Now, hear me out: wouldn't it be great to have a OUR SKYY 3 in which PondPhuwin star together with two juniors who perform as them in their BL series produced by GMMtheeV? (and maybe we can get MokRome wedding too!)
Worth to keep watching? The first 3 episodes seem interesting to me, I paused as I was on other dramas. Wonder…
I was hesitant to watch it because of the rating too, but it was an amazing journey.
I think the low rating is mostly because there is no romance and because the themes are pretty intense and deep, touching many intimate themes such as forgiveness, sacrifice, prejudice, obsession, trust and distrust...
This series reminds me a lot of Fangs of Fortune, what do you think? I’m on episode three and I was completely…
It does have similar vibes, I loved FoF and loved this one too! This also has a very beautiful team of friends, and also the main point of "seemingly bad guy who is actually good and acts for the greater good". I would definitely recommend it!
Liking this so far, but mostly because of JoongDunk's interactions, because the plot is interesting but the police investigation part is too farfetched.
I'm positively impressed by Dunk who, series after series, is getting better and better at acting. It still kinda feels "not natural", mostly in the idle and simple moments (when he walks, or when he listens), but he grew really a lot through the years! Well done, boy!
The leads for Love In The Clouds will be happy that you gave "Love In The Clouds" 10/10! I hear the romance…
I'm watching it rn and I wouldn't say it's a bromance - there is a group of main and secondary leads who all bond through the adventure and they form a wonderful mosaic of friendship, family, brotherhood, camaraderie... and that's the main focus in terms of relationship. Kinda like "Fangs of Fortune", or "The Blood of Youth" if you've watched them.
As of now (i'm on ep26 rn) this is a very ML-centric drama but since the ML has an amazing charisma you won't definitely mind the fact that everything revolves around him. XD
