I was very skeptical about Earth in this role at first, and ep1 wasn't enough to clear my doubt... but ep2 did it for me, I love how he's goofy and silly but in a more "sweet" and "shy" way compared to Haruta, who's basically a "bomb of entropy and positive chaos". His acting is showing through hands, shoulders, posture... he's silly but so precious, I can see why both Mo and Boss fell for him!
The only thing I can say, is: THANK YOU, to everyone involved in this amazing project.
It wasn't perfect, but it gave me so much and filled my heart, mind and soul with so many emotions and smiles and tears.... and when at the end of ep10 I thought that everything ended perfectly with one single phrase by Jin, there it came episode 11 as an even better ending. I'm so proud of these boys: Haruki and Jin have both grown into two wonderful loving humans.
As a huuuuuge fan of the original Ossan's series, I must say I'm pretty happy with this first episode.
I'm convinced Mixx can play whatever role he's given, but I was a bit unsure about Earth, whom I love but I've only seen in dramatic roles... Haruta is an amazingly difficult character to portray and I like that Heng is a bit less chaotic in this version. Earth gave us a very good first episode (no, he's not overacting because he doesn't know how to act, that's just how the character is, and this exaggeration is one of the most iconic comedic parts of the series) and I'm sure it will get smoother and smoother.
EarthMixx moment in the park in part 3 was SO BEAUTIFUL! Basically nothing happened but they gave me butterflies, these two are so nice and wholesome together!
And, Thor. How can he look so good and charismatic even in those nerdy glasses and clothes??
I love how this series keeps flowing! Especially this episode had a lot of "other characters" jumping in, but without giving the impression of being "fragments" or "extra scenes".
Perth smooth voice is E V E R Y T H I N G... this boy is something else, he has such a great charisma! And Santa complements his aura so well, well done GMMTV, you are the cupid of ships!
Now, waiting for: - more AouBoom - more Yacht - more more more PerthSanta!
While I don't think I like Yotha and Gun's story quite as much as I did Arc and Arm's I really do like Perth and…
LBC is a must-watch, it will always have an important place in my heart. <3 Although the story has some problematic moments, and both actors were very young, they managed to make the characters memorable and intense, with a "chemistry level" that other series of that time could only just dream!
Also… does Yacht look different to anyone? And don’t come at me, because I am a filler and Botox girl, and…
Actually I think he lost some weight... I was really looking forward for his role here and, although I know it's just a very small support role, I hope we can get some more scenes with him! T_T
Both Namtan and Film need to win some kind of acting prize because both of them were amazing in this series!
Honestly, the plot was a bit too "dramatic" for my taste (I get it, life and destiny both suck, but there were quite too many bad coincindences to feel credible...) and, although I loved all side characters (especially Pang, Ton and Kosol),I would have loved to see more depth on them instead of having unnecessary long dialogues with veeeeeery looooooooong pauses. That said, all of them felt very tridimensional and that is a positive note: they all had their pros and cons and motives, so it was impossible not to feel for them.
On a sidenote: I can't stop saying it, but Ciize is just too cute to handle, I love her!
I really hope both Film and Namtan get the recognition they deserve for this, and another challenging project in the near future!
This was the most beautiful "i'll stay on the phone with you until you fall asleep" scene i had ever seen in a drama... and the fact that Thame was still there when Po woke up was the cherry on the cake, it made my heart melt. these two actors and their characters have an amazing affinity that ranges from "soft sweetness overload" to "hot sexy chemistry" in the blink of an eye!
(...that said - this episode was a bit slower but there were many interesting moments, especially with Jun/Nut who's slowly but steadily becoming my favourite... although I missed Sammy and Drake this week!)
Loved this episode too! I'm usually not for childish/hyper character but Santa is rocking this role: he's never "too much" both acting-wise and script-wise (Gun's character knows where and when to stop being silly). His energy complements so well Yotha's dark/introvert vibes and I love how both actors click together (but I had no doubt, given that Perth is such an amazing actor).
I was soooooooooo happy to see Aungpao and Yacht (and Boom, and Pepper!), hope we can get some nice moments from them too.
Personal surprise: Junior. I like him but unfortunately I never loved his other characters before, but here Faifa is so cute and warm and fun, and he's really bringing him to life!
Oh! You made me want to rewatch Sotus because I totally forgot about those characters interactions... aside from M&May, that I recall becoming an actual couple?
10/10. I can't even write because I'm crying too much.
This was such an amazing drama, challenging a very difficult topic but with two astounding actors who kept me glued to the screen. The finale was what I was expecting, both from the characters and from how the story was going. 2024 has been a joy for BLs, and this drama was among the best ones... so intense, well-made, well-acted, giving us not only "fanstuff" but also food for thought... it goes directly into my personal top 10 of all time.
Yessssss! I was hoping for PeterPan in a decent role after that sunshine mess with OhmFluke, and knowing he'll act alongside Pond is the best thing that could ever happen! Thank you, dear god of BL! <3
