Is this my favorite OffGun vehicle to date? Yes I think it is. I am really enjoying this one and Jane is my absolute…
Totally agree with all you said, from Off's shining in this drama to View rocking her role (she has a great character here btw, I like her but some of her characters were not my taste in past series... plus she looks so good in this one!)...
I especially agree on the Tae/BahMee part - I think Tae loves BahMee in his own way, which probably is not what she's looking for... being in this kind of a relationship is a heavy toll for both parties, especially for the one who "does" more to keep the boat sailing. I'm not justifying neither of them, but they will be better off as friends and I loved the fact that they separated with maturity and generosity. These things happen more often than not.
"maybe now we need to have things clear about Tonkla, Korn, Great and Win instead of other characters?" what....3…
i didn’t say that i want the series to spend more time on them, but that it might be needed for further episodes’ development. In any case, I don’t usually watch something expecting characters to go around with a “I’m the main, I need screentime” label on their forehead… maybe all the time they (Tyme and Great) deserve will be given in the next episodes, that’s just what I’m saying.
Loved this episode too! We're getting so many misteries and hints and slowly starting to disclose some secrets... although these secrets are bringing new questions along!
I'm reading a lot of complaints on how the screenwriter should stick to writing novels (I love Sammon's stories up to now, they are all interesting and with new and original elements) but maybe the "screentime problem" is not really a problem? the story will cover 8 episodes and maybe now we need to have things clear about Tonkla, Korn, Great and Win instead of other characters? We've got 4 yet to see, a story is a mosaic of moments and all moments take their space and time, especially in such a complex plot!
Loved all three nc scenes: they felt as "needed" in the show and not as random scenes for fangirls to drool... I'm still quite suspicious of Win as a character, and I'm not really buying JJ's performance in this drama (although he shines together with Fuaiz). Sidenote: many people are saying Great looked too calm and emotionless during his bed scene with Tyme but I personally loved how mature he looked, guiding a surprisingly shy Tyme. Many people are saying "no way you are so calm when it's your first time", but is it said somewhere that it's Great first time with a man? To me it looked the opposite: Tyme's first time (with a man) and Great being soft and gentle (and happy) with him... I really really loved their scene.
I used to watch kdramas twenty years ago, when all asian dramas felt like "asian products with asian culture and mood". But to me (to my personal taste, at least), Korea was the first to "lose itself" to western trends in dramas (style, narration, themes, direction, scenes...) and almost all K-everything now feels like it came directly from Hollywood. So, I said goodbyes to Kdramas around ten/fifteen years ago.
Feels like Park's acting goes smoother episode after episode... I liked how he smiled, acted cute, and responded to Big. This show is pretty "normal" and nothing really stands out, but somehow it feels so nostalgic and smooth and easy to watch!
I wasn't interested in watching this show but I saw your question so I took a quick look. That's a literary Thai…
Oh, thank you very much! That's very interesting, and yes - I really hope we can get more (and accurate) historical BLs series, it's such an interesting setting! Thanks again!
Question out of curiosity: ep3 in the intro part, when they are wearing chinese clothes, are they speaking a northern thai dialect? Because the language somehow seems different - it's still thai, but with a kinda weird/different accent than the one they speak in "modern" scenes.
That said: this team really doesn't know how to make a story flow... scenes seem so randomly thrown together... I don't know. I'm loving TutorYim but almost everything else is as cringe and absurd as it could be. Why can't they just say "we are roommates"? What about all the plagiarism thing in the first episode? Why the menacing music in Pie's office moments, and the nonsense dialogue of the secretary? Why the couple-game scenes, and couldn't Ob-oun just wear the mask instead of blindfolding Shan?
And the biggest question of them all: why is Tutor so damn beautiful???
Oh, wow! That confession was unexpected but a great moment! I loved how they created a "double countdown" for the anniversary that somehow ran parallel with Ryan's explosion... basically we got an ending with a double BOOM!
Jane is slowly but steadily becoming one of my favourite characters ever - and I love how subtle Off is depicting his emotions!
What a nice drama, so many points and moments to relate to!
Another WOW episode! Leaving me with so many questions... and I totally didn't expect Tyme to reveal himself! This show is graphically and visually incredible and the boys are really acting their ass out... can't wait for next friday!
I'll never understand MDL's ratings, why is this so low...?
Loved the first two eps, the idea of following the personality types is pretty interesting and the main characters are a nice group of diverse friends - also, the terrace dialogues are so smooth and cozy, they really warm my heart! I was looking forward for Big's lead role and as of now, he's not disappointing... fingers crossed it keeps this great start!
For me, this has been hands down one of the best series of this year: yes, it wasn't perfect, but it kept me glued to the screen from start to finish and had so many great things! Great acting from the leads, amazing chemistry, beautiful OST, nice cinematography and some great dialogues with some scenes that I will remember for a very long time! Loved all the characters, the only issue was with the villains BUT... we cannot have everything, can we?
I will miss them so much, I really hope we can get more series from these boys, and also more series where the "BL" is toned down in favour of a nice and interesting plot.
10/10 and I know I'll rewatch it pretty soon!
PS.: can we be gifted of a special episode with ThirdTon, pretty please? =D
Better than first episode, with some nice scenes (the ending of ep2 with the knocks was so on point!) but still pretty chaotic. I really don't understand how they put scenes together, there's no flow from one moment to the other.
Tutor is one of the most aethereal human beings I've ever seen, he looks as a nowadays Thai aphrodite.
Loved the chinese wuxia-style moments tho'! Hope we get more!
Another great episode, probably one of the best up to now - it keeps flowing so naturally, balancing the leads' scenes, the workplace scenarios, the comedy elements and the friends dynamics.
The make-up and style department did a wonderful job on all the cast, but View and Off both look particularly astonishing! And JaneRyan scene had my heart melt... I love how simple yet relatable everything feels.

On a sidenote: loving BeerWan... or WanBeer?
Thanks again!
