After a shitty day&week at work, episode 6 was a blessing. š Iām starting to become a ForceBook fan, theyāre so fun together! Right now this is my comfort drama: itās fun, cute, lighthearted but not childish.
Somehow I always get mesmerized by Japanese BLs, there's always this special aura... just like if you were in a bubble together with the drama and its characters.
Loved both actors and their chemistry, and the soft and silken lights and cinematography. The story was a bit "uhm?" but I felt like it really wasn't the focus of it all so it didn't bother me. In the end you'll be like: "see? love conquers all" and "things can't get erased, everything that goes somehow comes back". Sometimes, a bit of gold in the cracks make for a beautiful kintsugi even in relationships.
I will rewatch it for sure, to catch further details and get back into this bubble!
ngl I've had low expectations for MBS' Tunku Shower when it started out. Mr. Unlucky started on a high yet quickly…
"""Kosuke-san, who we all loved as Katori in Takarakun and Amagikun, was equally spectacular as Fumiya here. He's got a real bright future ahead of him."""
Holy... I didn't realize it was him, I had to go check to see who Katori was in that series! It's amazing what makeup and good acting can do...! XD
I discovered this just after having already begun the longer Promise series⦠the mood is pretty different but I loved how they perfectly fit all the emotions in these two mirroring episodes. Well done! And I so, so, so feel for them! A perfect portrayal of unrequited love that wastes a lifetime.
Now⦠letās keep waiting the next three weeks to continue the series. š
I loved S2 much more than S1 - I still have some issues with Hiraās character but we are given many more info about him and his past trauma, so we can somehow see thru his actions and attitudes. Hagiwaraās acting is great (itās not an easy role!), but I found Kiyoi to be so much more layered and interesting! Yagiās eyes were so deep, and his expressions so heartfelt!
I wasnāt expecting to like this, but I do: probably because iām living a mess in my life rn and I definitely need something easy, fun, even stupid at times.
Thor is a damn fine guy! And so is Force⦠Iām not a ForceBook fan but I totally get Forceās fans, his body and face are perfect.
Iām loving Gunās character and his subtle expressions, and heās showing great growth and well paced development. Kudos to all the friendly characters around them! I love when we see good friends in a drama.
Only complaint: Bookās over acting. It feels Cher is not just āenergicā, but overly childish, idiotic and out of place. I get that they need to show his growth but⦠meh.
I finally finished this, and the first and most important thing I will and must say is: PERTH. Many hearts and sparkles and fireworks for this boy, because every inch of him screams GREAT ACTOR and omg he acts with his whole body, eyes, gestures, voice⦠woah, he was way beyond anyone else.
That said, Iāll recompose myself. XD
This show deserved everything from a 5 to a 10, where 5 was the plot execution and storytelling, 8 was the music and landscapes, 9 was cinematography and 10 was obviously⦠Perthās acting :D Jokes aside, I loved the series but it was so unreal that it felt absurd and totally disconnected. PondPhuwin were great: they did amazingly better than FUTS and they definitely deserve a better project because they are a wonderful onscreen duo.
The thing I'll probably miss the most is going to be all the POSITIVITY: friendship, parenthood, growing up, love, support, empathy, teamwork, being brave... in a world full of hardships, MSP and all its characters gifted me of smiles and happiness.
Thanks to everyone involved in this project: teens need stories that show a brighter world, and characters that love/relate in a healthy way!
You are not alone. He is a complex character with perfectly understandable if not always right motivations. The…
I think his acting is very measured yet powerful - it fits the character and as you said also Jim's age ( I think it's easier for an older person to impersonate a younger role since he would remember the vibes, but it's way more difficult to act a character who's about ten years older than you are...).
Whaaaaat?? I loved this anime back in the days, can't wait for this production!! I fear it's going to be the gaudiest thing ever, but I'mma watch it and love it nontheless!! XD
I love Jim, he's probably the character I most relate too - maybe because I live a somehow similar situation with a business and a kid (almost teen in the rebllious phase!) on my shoulders, trying to make hands meet till the end of the month, and people telling me to "love somebody" when I just can't and don't want. ^^' We're probably about the same age too, Jim's around 38 years old right? XD
Anyway, I'm also liking Earth's acting - his role is not "overwhelming" and he tends to get typecasted but I love the contrast with the younger actors who are more "electric" and his "stoic" figure who's slowly melting.
I'm so happy we're getting two episodes per week, but at the same time sad because next week we'll already be over this amazing drama... it's such a deep and heartwrenching series!
Every actor's performance seems to shine: the dialogues are so well done that the cast can express through words, eyes and body what the characters are going through. Great eyes: especially in ep.5 we've seen some amazing glances from Wen and Gemini, who's definitely more than speaking with his eyes!
I hate being repetitive, but this series is brilliantly intense. They draw so many parallels in this episode.…
Love, love your comments! Thanks for sharing - yes, somehow this story is like a fantastic fairytale with kings and queens involved in epic battles, BUT the kings and queens are just people like us and the battles are our everyday fights/issues/traumas/problems... loving it.

But the most important thing: I NEED MORE YACHT! Heās gorgeous in whatever role, those blue hair were so cool!!

8/10 and I need more Perth. <3
