Ii I just re-watched this episode. Shi De’s actions are quite problematic. Not only does he manipulate the circumstances for him to be locked in with Shu Yi but he also prevents them from being “rescued.” It makes me difficult for me to recommend this because of the consent issues.
Way too many fillers to be called a good drama. It’s a sweet story, but nothing that I would re-watch over again.…
No! Don’t skip the confession scene from ep. 10. The lawsuit against Shao Qing was the part that dragged the most. Overall, it’s been an enjoyable, low angst watch.

It gets much better. BUT there are tropey moments along the way. The most problematic one was him moving in an apartment next to her. But once they get together, it’s so sweet. They have a realistic adult relationship. They acknowledge their problems (like jealousy) and work through them. One of the best things about this drama is that the FL doesn’t turn stupid after she falls in love.
Am I the only one who wants to see more scenes of Mr. Shangguan?
I was worried about him at first. But he’s been so great about Cong Rang having a boyfriend. He’s professional, smart, & courteous. I want him to end up with the other intern who likes him. She can be overbearing but she’s sweet.
