The Queen killed the King. It wasn’t any accident. And she is a fool who is being used by the Lord (from Alchemy of Souls) who probably tried assassinating the King a few times which scared the King and then blamed it on the Grand Prince. Because of which she believes that the Grand Prince is after the throne. For now she seems to be a character who is willing to do everything to stay in control of that throne.

Didn’t the Queen kill him and he just accepted his death. It was probably the Lord (from Alchemy of Souls) who tried to assassinate the King and blamed it on the Grand Prince. Which scared the weak King to death that he was going to give up the throne.
