I liked how righteous she was compared to the other immortals. But I do agree with you, she was too weak. The…
I do like that she represents “goodness shall prevail” but like you said, she was strong in the beginning, then kind of fizzled out even though she supposedly got more powerful. Too inconsistent for me.
She took something from him to save her sister. He progresses after that deed. So can’t truly blame her. 😓
You’re right , she’s inherently evil not by choice. And ultimately the story makes more sense like this - JL was able to shed all his burdens and move on, and A Sheng is able to overcome what she’s gotten by birth and getting her ultimate wish of being with the FL

I haven’t watched what happened to JL in the end but whether he benefitted or not, it doesn’t matter. What matters is that she knowingly tricked him and used her body and his affection for her to take something she knew was precious from him. To say that she already owed him so much so it didn’t matter if she kept taking advantage of him. And to say his Dao was to take care of all living things so he should be fine taking care of the Fl and her. Such a ridiculous selfish person! I read the spoiler so I know what happened to her but I wish she didn’t survive.
I’m only on ep 36 and just venting here only because I feel that the FL could have been written better. She’s got her moments of strength but most of the time, she is kind of helpless. What’s the point of having her cultivation elevated each time when she spends so much time lying in bed? Ok I admit it - I’m just annoyed because she’s such an enabler - always letting A Sheng think she can do whatever she wants especially now because oh the poor kitty baby had such a hard life… All right, I’m done ranting and hopefully I will see a stronger side of the FL. I don’t care if A Sheng survives or not.
After watching ep 24, I am torn - I really want to believe QSQ but her story is too neat plus the opening scene of ep 24...what did it mean?!! I guess we will find out if Ran discovered something that will protect QSQ in the end or condemn her...If it is the latter, then it is so tragic.
So we finally found out what happened 😭 I was still holding out hope that maybe there was a switch and he’s still out there undercover…until Lao He lifted the sheet 😭
The movie could have been great but at the end, I was not that satisfied. Perhaps the build up was not enough but the reason for everyone’s sacrifices was not compelling enough. It felt that it was not worth it. Still, the acting was good and the action scenes were done pretty well.
I'm waiting to see when he'll be more direct, because she doesn't see him as a potential suitor; he still needs…
At this point, maybe he isn’t aware of his intentions too. Or because he usually treads so carefully, he probably doesn’t want to frighten her off. She is rather young.
I feel bad for Ye Xian — and indirectly for JinZhao, since she is ultimately the one who suffers the consequences. Ye Xian tries so hard to earn her attention and admiration, but in his impulsive, reckless, and inexperienced way, he never fully considers the outcome of his actions.
In contrast, Chen Yan Yun’s maturity and life experience make him think several steps ahead. I especially liked the scene where he was barking orders at his steward to help JinZhao, only to pause and reconsider after thinking through the possible outcomes. That’s why the “whistle” scene felt so meaningful to me — in the end, he chose the most sincere and straightforward way to support her.
I also really like the way Ci Sha is portraying the male lead: calm, rational, and restrained, yet gradually softening as he falls deeper for JinZhao. He teases her, but never pushes her too far. Winwin is doing a great job as Ye Xian as well — he manages to make the character both pitiful and frustrating at the same time, which is not easy to pull off.
This man needs a daily 10 face slaps to come to his senses… if I have lived in such period of time in China…
I wanted to strangle him myself after watching the end of episode 13. I really hope that he loses everything and reduced to nothing. Death is too easy for him.
