I know that Ye Xian is annoying as heck, but I quite like the chemistry between him and Gu Jin Chao.
Chen Yuan Qing is rather bland even though he's good looking. It seems that Jin Chao has a thing for him right now.
When will we actually see something start between Chen San Ye and her? I really like how they understand each other well, all the hidden messages behind the gifts and actions.
So excited for this one - Ci Sha in a proper lead role! He caught my eye in Forever and Ever and again in the Blue Whisper. He's got a very attractive quality about him, and his chemistry with RenMin seems good so far.
I liked the connection to Goddess Wushuang—the drama about her (A Moment but Forever) was good.
Maybe it’s because this is an Allen Ren drama, I adjusted my expectations of romance knowing there wouldn’t be much skinship. So I especially appreciate the romantic scenes - the way the ML recognized the FL instantly despite her mask, the scene with the falling flower petals, and how he got the color for the sunset. Subtle but lovely.
Enjoyed the feel-good ending! Everything was resolved almost too easily but that’s ok - I appreciate more time for the sweet and poignant scenes plus we finally got closure for tue romance! Funny epilogue!
Ep 13 had me on edge —I kept waiting to find out what happened to Xiaoran, but instead there was a twist. This show is so well done. The comedy is woven subtly throughout, yet there’s a real emotional weight underneath it all. Every time the instrumental music plays during Lao He’s moments of reminiscing, I find myself tearing up.
Just started this and already binged through episode 10. It’s a great show—well executed, with a tight plot, great directing and strong acting. But I can feel my heart getting heavier the deeper I get into the story. This is not a happily-ever-after kind of show—more like one that hopefully offers a sense of closure.
I lenjoyed the love story the most. There was something deeply moving about watching a couple so unwavering in their commitment to one another, navigating everything with confidence, faith and sincerity. Their relationship is the kind that lingers with you even after the story ends.
I also really appreciated the retro aesthetic woven throughout—the fashion and hairstyles added such a rich, nostalgic charm. It wasn’t just visually pleasing, but it also really immersed me in the era.
and ML specializes in showing expressions through a stoic face per mini expressions and his eyes. This is a major…
So true! The ML is so good with emoting using his eyes! He doesn’t have to move his facial muscles which is why he looks so young - hardly any wrinkles 😁
I really like how decisive the leads are when it comes to killing — no hesitation, no unnecessary drama, just action. Especially the ML. The way he dealt with the guy in episode 11 left absolutely no room for mistakes, and more importantly, no surviving enemies left behind to come back for revenge later. At the same time, I appreciated that he still gave an out to those who hadn’t harmed innocent people, which adds a nice layer to his character instead of making him feel blindly ruthless.
