Ah ep 32 started off with so much sweetness and all these couples pairing, and then came the Emperor...and his need for blind loyalty. Prince Xian was definitely not much of a villain compared to his father
Very likely the palace arc and Emperor intruding forcing ML to make choices between love and loyalty…
Yeah, the Emperor is so heartless when it comes to anyone that I think he will want blind loyalty from ML with no possibility of him being distracted by the FL.
We don't know if it's a betrayal yet. He may have been duped. But if it's indeed a betrayal, I'm dropping this…
The thing is whether the half brother, Prince Do Sung was duped or convinced that he should be the crown prince in order to marry the FL, it is still a betrayal. I’m hoping that he actually has a hidden agenda to save Lee Gon so he is pretending to go along with the plan
I just started this and up to ep 3. The FL was obnoxious at first but hopefully she will get better. What’s up with the AESPA scene by the way? A little unexpected bit of ridiculousness
Maybe the writer was told to keep writing in scenes that have both leads crying and being all emotional because they are so freaking good at it! So having a delulu ES was the best way to keep them doing that!
omg this is exactly how i feel! every time he comes on (with nothing new to offer), i just get annoyed. it's sad…
Maybe something is happening behind the scenes with the actor having some strong backers. It's like the Chinese dramas where they keep featuring some idol or trainee actresses with some strong backers non-stop even though they are irritating as heck and ruin the plots.
I have only been watching Kdramas for 7 months, but I have yet to see a kdrama where there is an antagonist that…
I get that, but he is already an antagonist in bringing the family to ruin, and they can keep him in that bad guy role with all the backstabbing and scheming until they take him down in the last couple of episodes. That's the satisfying ending, when ES, his mother, and that Ko woman are punished! The writer does not need to keep him butting into the relationship of the leads and keeping this forced love triangle going. They have enough story there to hook us in without a delusional guy doing the cliched amnesia and hijacking the husband role thing. It is just bad writing and makes the story worse. That's what people are moaning about.
I watched most of episode 14 until Eun Sung appeared more towards the end. It was still enjoyable seeing the interactions between our leads and the other characters. The writing just totally flops whenever that delusional Eun Sung appears. I'm don't know why the writer is hell-bent on keeping him around.
10 more episodes - with the most recent incidents resolved, I wonder what new obstacles will our main couple face? Definitely opposition from both sides about their relationship

I am so tired of the cliched "I'll sacrifice anything for the woman I love even if she is not interested in me at all" plotline
