I just started and the first 4 episodes just flew by. I am enjoying this show with the mature characters! The FL is gorgeous, smart and composed, plus her good fashion style is so rare in CDramas which typically like to dress their FLs in hideous clothes. The ML is dorky adorable and he’s so sweet. They are not even together yet and he’s so attentive. I like Leon Zhang and am really watching for him but Elaine Zhong has caught my attention too. Of course there are super annoying antagonists who exist just to create angst for our leads. In this regard, the show is tropey. Enough with the clingy ex.😤 I hope the lead characters stay consistent. I expect that there will be misunderstandings and heartbreaks but let’s hope those get resolved quickly.
I totally see HQ and HRZ as siblings 😆 She continues to pet his head like a little kid. She wants to leave…
I’m always optimistic about love 😁 so even though it’s not ardent passionate love, I think she would develop affection and the steady love that comes from the stability and security HRZ can provide.
She failed to kill her at the mid autumn festival so looks like her new plan was to set up HQ. If HQ gave the…
You’re right, ZXW would not even have told HQ if she didn’t ask him first…upcoming preview is so angsty…poor ZXW…I wish they would release the express package so that we can get to the end all at once!
Was it Meng Zi Fei who order the assassins who killed the brother?
I just saw the preview for ep 25 and I think you’re right - it looks like it’s the Meng family. I guess Meng Zi Fei wants HQ gone because she is after ZXW.
Caught up to ep 23 and I’m not convinced that ZYL does not have feelings for HQ. Regardless of what HQ says and how hard MY tries to convince herself, I only see that ZYL still cares for HQ. In the recent episodes, ZYL has not told MY that he loves her or his heart only has her. He offered the same protection and support to her and HQ.
All that said, I don’t care lol - he and MY can settle for each other.
The show is really pushing HRZ and HQ together…makes me laugh each time they play the sweet romantic background music during their scenes together. HRQ is really devoted and earnest though and I enjoy their interactions.
Ultimately I am still team ZXW and it’s too bad he lost his composure out of jealousy. He totally deserved HQ’s scolding about his way of showing care. Still she clearly cares for him too...the way she grabbed the door frame 💔
Can someone please explain to me who MY was warning HQ about? Was it the noble person that everyone warned her about including the Matriach Princess and ZHL? Also, another question in the spoiler below…
Pardon my ignorance, didn’t know Joseph can sing so well then discovered that he used to be in a boy band. Have…
Yeah, I only realized that he was in a boy band after I heard him sing some of the OSTs for Heroes. He did a duet with Liu Yu Ning and also one with Yang Chao Yue.
I watched it on LakornPixie but it is a paid subscription. There might be the subbed version on Telegram. The raw episodes are also available on Dramacool
The leads have challenging roles, playing dual characters with different ages. Ep 3 was about setting up the characters and I cannot wait when there are more interactions in the next episode!
This was an entertaining show - with a slice-of-life feeling and family drama mixed in with adventure and romance. No complaints about the couples, the main couple looked so compatible and so good together, and they were comfortable with the skinship and kisses. 2nd couple was cute too!
Most viewers found the central family toxic, providing frustrations but entertainment at the same time. There were lessons learned and redemption and the show wrapped nicely from that aspect.
As for the ending, I wanted a bigger bang but at least there was resolution, even if it was a rushed one.
Gotta give extra points for the OST - really good songs and Joseph's cover of one of the main tracks is really good too!
Honestly, this show did not have to start off being a game. It would have been a fine story without the transmigration theme and the show could have figured out a different proper ending. In fact, I am sure the viewers would have been fine with just the main couple having a HE!
Those with the express package - the BTS scenes were so cute!
