Same here! So tired of FY and WJG, till the very end FY was so whiny. She even looked unhappy when she saw MX reunited with CWD lol Yeah, it was nice at least to see them reunite and be on their way to their happy ending. Like you said, sometimes all we get is the couple seeing each other and smile...haha. At least here we got a kiss too!
All done and I am kind of satisfied! Lol, some scenes did defy logic but no complaints here except...
Still way too many scenes of WJG and FY. FY still so whiny and wishy-washy until maybe for a few seconds in the end. WJG got the closure he needed from MX who was so gracious. She was the ultimate boss lady through and through. As she said, it was her who no longer wanted him.
CWD's alive and has been protecting MX. How he survived was the part that defied logic, but hey, as long as we get our happy ending! They even allowed them to get together a whole 15 minutes before the episode ended, and we also got a kiss. Honestly, CWD did not look bad at all, even with his face partially disfigured.
Unfortunately (for me), we got yet another scene of FY and WJ seeing MX and CWD together, simply because FY needed another sign that MX has moved on, and she can finally be at ease and accept WJG....sigh, why did we waste so much time on this couple??? I would rather have another 15 minutes of CWD and MX together.
So the villains got punished, with MX and CWD providing evidence of their treachery as the catalyst. The Marquis and Wu Lang foolishly tried to assassinate the young emperor. CWD did some fancy footwork and managed to protect the emperor until WJG (for once) arrived at the right time to end the assassination attempt.
So all's well that ends well. Even WuYin got redemption as he helped MX against Wu Lang. Xiao Wu remained steadfastly loyal and one of my favorite characters.
So overall, I enjoyed this messy story, and as infuriating as the characters may be, they kept me engaged.
Novel readers, did DJX inscribe his own initials on the back of the bracelet charm? He's so cute about it, while SZ got her hopes up and then had them dashed when she read further about the meanings...lol
WJG, FY, and WY all mourned for MX, and it was the men who fell to the ground. Surprisingly, WJG fainted, not…
No need to be embarrassed ;D We may not like the character but the acting was good and delivered the right emotions. I teared up the most when XiaoWu cried.
