I agree with you that it is more important that the actors can act either because they are talented or they have tons of experience. That part of the reason why I prefer more matured actors because if they lasted this long, it’s because they are talented or they are experienced. There’s so many young actors who are wooden but thrown into lead roles because of their looks. I guess they all have to start somewhere 😃

Great analysis! Ouyang completely unraveled when he couldn't handle the pressure of his engagement to Pan Er being found out. I guess he does deserve an unhappy ending. I am not sure about Gao Hui so I still hope that she gts a happy ending or at least a non-tragic ending.

I have to rewatch the older episodes but I remember that a character said something like oh, isn't she the one that SMZ rejected. If I had to guess, it would be because of the rivalry. If SMZ cared baout his illness, he would do the noble sacrificing and not even be with her all this time.
