I'm on ep 3 and thinking of dropping or putting on hold... Almost every character annoys me except our leads and I'm not sure if it's gonna stay this way. Why do they always portray village people so rude, annoying and nosy in every drama?
Started for Si Wan because I absolutely loved Run On and hoped to see similar kind of vibes, because he also has kind of an awkward personality here. But maybe solely liking the leads isn't enough for me π
Am I the only one who doesn't mind the love triangle/square or whatever π I'm a sucker for jealousy tropes which brings the leads even closer. My fave scene of pt 1 will be forever jealous Jang Uk who didn't want his Master teach anybody else than him. π For me there was never any kind of threat to the main leads neither in part 1 or part 2. Jang Uk loves Naksu and vice versa. Nothing and nobody can come between them. Even tho Naksu pt1 had a lot of scenes with Seo Yul and Go Won, it was never to the point that annoyed me, rather I also loved her interactions and dynamic with both of them. And even tho both Seo Yul and Go Won fancied her (and maybe in pt 2 they will as well) I doubt they'll take any action, furthermore she is married now.
Since Seo Yul and Go Won are rather serious kind of types, the scenes with Naksu are so enjoyable, because they will get easily flustered and have funny conversations. And if someone falls in love with our bubbly Naksu, can you blame them? She is adorable π She was in pt1 and she still is in pt2.
Sou seems more happy with Minato than Tsugumi π He doesn't have any kind of insecurities when he's meeting with Minato even tho Minato just communicates through the app...
Unpopular Opinion, but Aoba deserves better. Sou and Minato just hurt her how they want. I feel really bad for her π’
I don't know about you guys, but I love it when I can't predict shxt about a show/movie. It gives me a thrill,…
Agree! AOS2 is actually the only drama which excites me right now. I keep thinking about it while working, doing housework, when I'm taking a walk etc. lol I think it's not healthy to be so obsessed with a show π€£
I am going to watch season 2 now, is is any good so far ? Honestly i only watched season 1 for Somin, and stayed…
If you're starting part 2 open-minded and unbiased, I bet you'll like it.
Plot wise the actress change fits perfectly and is obviously needed for the story. My biggest concern about the actress change was actually the dynamic between the leads. Because So Min did such a great job in part 1 and I LOVED Mudeok and Jang Uk, so I had high expectations for GYJ and I have to say, I'm really satisfied and happy so far. Even tho Buyeon/Naksu and Jang Uk have a different kind of dynamic and chemistry, it's still so captivating and I already love them together.
The first scene with Buyeon/Naksu in part 2 with the alcohol merchant reminded me so much of her first encounter with Seo Yul when they were young.
When young Naksu met Seo Yul, who was lying on the ground with a broken leg, the first sentence she said to him was: " Can I have that thing(the whistle)?"... she didn't even care about him being in pain. She was just fascinated by that bird whistle lol π
And now when she met that merchant, she saw the bottle and was like "Is that alcohol? Give it to me."... Haha, she just takes what she wants π
I don't think they match at all tho. He doesn't know how to handle her temperament πHe couldn't handle her…
We'll see π Even Jang Uk is easily flustered by BuYeon/Naksu π
I'm anticipating what kind of dynamic Seo Yul and Naksu going to have in part 2. I loved Seo Yul whenever he was with Mudeok. Their scenes were just too cute whenever he got scolded by Mudeok π€£
I know many will rebuke me for this but Naksu with Seo Yul isn't as bad if you think about it. With her memory…
I don't think they match at all tho. He doesn't know how to handle her temperament π He couldn't handle her when she was a teen (One dispute and he gave up), he couldn't handle her as Mudeok (She lashed out on him several times and got him flustered) and I bet he can't handle Bu Yeon/Naksu's craziness as well. They are cute as friends but I don't think they fit romantically.
But I hope they really don't kill Seo Yul off... Would be really disappointed if that shit blood worm (which So Yi removed SO easily) actually kills him -_-
Really, I thought the childhood version of her was rather mature and mysterious.
She was more reserved, therefore maybe mysterious, yes. But she was still this innocently childlike and curious/fascinated about things she doesn't know about. The first sentence she said to Seo Yul who was lying on the ground with a broken leg. "Can I have that thing(the flute)?" lol She didn't really care first that he was in pain π
And that reminded me totally of the first scene with her and the merchant. "Is that Alcohol? Then give it to me." XD
I actually think Naksu's current "personality with memory loss" being this bubbly and bright resembles her childhood personality a lot, which we saw in the flashbacks with Seo Yul. She seemed also really curious, lively and smiled a lot. Jin Mu ruined her. Poor Yeong π
he will. cuz its his fate [given by the heavenly king star]and CP will die in the end after trying to help jinmu
That's true, but I still think it's two different "occupations" lol And I doubt Jang Uk wants to be a king, but well, let's see what the future holds for him :) I'm fine with anything but death again π

Not necessarily... Even tho he is born with the king star, doesn't mean it's his fate to be the King. Just like Master Seo Gyeong had the king's star but didn't become king nor yearned for it. Master Lee mentioned it in an episode of part 1 as well.
Sadly, this wasn't my cup of tea... I was really anticipating to see Xu Kai in another drama, so I looked forward to this drama. I really liked how mature the main leads were and they had wholesome and realistic conversations, which I could relate to, but the whole law theme was too boring for me. And it took actually more than 80% of the drama. There wasn't a lot of romance in my opinion. But a lot of annoying characters and side stories. I skipped through a lot and then stopped at around ep 34... but after reading the comments, I won't finish the drama and just drop it.
Some people said below that, Part 2 plot has some Goblin vibes. I agree. not just Goblin, I also think off "The…
Well, I guess there are some similarities plot wise. But because AOS has two parts I don't really feel the vibes of another drama.
But personally I didn't like Goblin at all. The FL was still a high school girl and acted like one throughout the drama. I found it creepy, because the ML was an adult... and well thousand years older π
I really liked "The Moon Embracing the Sun" as well, but I think the only similarity is the amnesia/dead plot. This is actually a common drama trope. That's why I hated the idea of an amnesia plot, but I have to say it does fit the story and they delivered it well in the first two eps :)
