That’s what I was thinking too, as a standalone it’s not bad but I can see where it falls short when you compare it to the first two season because they were much better. I honestly enjoyed it nonetheless.

Don’t let the comments dissuade you from watching this season just because they hated it. You won’t really know unless you see it yourself. You might love it or you might also hate it that’s totally fine ,either way the only way to know is to just watch it. It’s only 6 episodes, why not.

I actually really liked this season, I finished it in one sitting and while it wasn’t season one or two it definitely held its own. Some characters were insufferable and some deserved better just as any other season, but being able to see the OG characters and this season characters get their happy ending was honestly the best ending I could’ve asked for.

This alone tell me you didn’t actually understand a word I said and It seems to me like you’re only understanding the story through Khem’s eyes and that honestly says enough to me. Like you said to me, put yourself in anyone else shoes in the story other then Khem and think about how you’d feel. I’m thinking about the fact that everyone else is sacrificing so much for him and he’s constantly throwing that away in an attempt to “not let them die to save his ass”. Whether intentionally or not by episode 12 he is selfishly wasting everyone’s attempts at keeping him alive. I seriously doubt that you’re much, if at all, older than me but that’s fine I don’t know why that needed to be brought up as my beliefs in self sacrifice has nothing to do with my age. We’ll simply have to agree to disagree. Thanks for your time.

That might’ve been a fair answer in the first half of the show but not even that can explain his choices near the end. He believes that he’s the reason Peem has no one left (Grandma Si dying, Thong and Ake dying), which I don’t think is his fault, and after promising to not leave him, quite literally confirming that Khem is that all Peem has left, he still choose to leave him, if anything if he felt guilty he should’ve felt more inclined to stay and help him fight. How would you feel if the person you kept sacrificing for to be with and protect, just disappeared, unable to follow due to your duty to the village? Then even in the last episode after everything everyone went through to save him and being so close to breaking the curse, he was still willing to step out of the ring and die. If the monk hadn’t stopped him then everything everyone literally just went through would’ve been in vein. Jet and Charn would’ve almost died for nothing, Peem would’ve lost his spiritual powers for nothing, his mom soul almost dissipating to protect him would’ve been for nothing, like truly I could keep going. I don’t think Khem deserved any of the pain he went through BUT he was just too willing to die after all his loved ones went through to keep him alive. You can say whatever you want but that’s simply my take. Don’t get me wrong I love Khem and I literally cried with him at several point in the show but you have to be lying to yourself if you seriously don’t see my point at all.

I really really love this show but I’m starting to think Khem is just suicidal at this point like he has very little will to live and absolutely no backbone at all. It makes me feel bad for the people who are trying so hard and risking so much to protect him just for him to be either A. Running away or B. Giving up his life…

The absolute VISUALS of Keng and Net are insane! They were smart to only have Net for 3 episodes, I don’t think my heart could’ve taken 12 episode of them both. Petition for a KengNamping x NetJJ show next!

This show was truly amazing!! The ending is by far one of the best I’ve ever seen and if anyone has any recommendations with similar endings PLEASE lmk!!

I literally just paused episode 12 just to see if anyone felt the same way. The fact that he was so willing to go out of the ring despite it meaning everyone’s efforts would’ve been for nothing really put the nail in the coffin for me for his character.

I missed seeing him in The Boyfriend so I was so surprised to see him in Chosen Home I recognized him instantly!

I’m only on ep 4 but the acting of the ML kinda makes me… I don’t know uncomfortable? Like something about the way he’s pushy and the way he goes about things makes me uncomfortable

The way I actually sobbed violently when I thought they killed my man Shen Lang and then sobbed even harder when I found out he was alive, got to see his son be born, and even raised him for a few years 😭

Kinda throws you into the story and can be a bit confusing but if you're into reallyyyy really slow burns (like falls in love in the last 5 episodes kinda slow) and you like war heavy and royal power struggles type dramas then you'll like this, I came for the romance so I wouldn't say I binged it as fast as dramas like love of the divine tree where it balanced romance and power struggle perfectly imo but I really enjoyed it nonetheless and the ending was by far the most perfect ending I have ever watched I rewinded it like 6 times bc its so adorable and all loose end were tied up perfectly
